These hoods should ues the oem hood locks, but with all carbon fiber hoods you should get hood locks. I am not a business I will eventually do the trunks, but that is after I do all of the hoods first.

Would more people be intrested in the titanium or regular carbon fiber trunks rather than the hoods? The trunks havent been made yet this would be the first time ever, the company I am working with said they are ready to do them now as long as I send them a trunk for molding so they can make the replicas. The titanium ones will have the same color as the hoods, now I dont have any pics because they havent been made yet. The only way I could get pics of the b13 hood or trunk is if I can garentee them at least 15 orders of each. So give me your opinions and let me know which one I should do first.

I am not a business so I cant do them together. I have to do one at a time. Maybe I can work something out were if you buy the hood I can give you some kind of discount on the trunk.

Payment information.

Its $450 shipped for the hood. You will pay half ($225) after I get 15 people garenteed to buy, then after 2-3 months at the most when the hoods are made you will pay the other half ($225) when I ship it to you. I will collect money all together so their is no confussion, just as I will ship them at the same time. Private message me if you are deffiently in. Remember you do not pay until all 15 people are ready.

Ok...

...if someone could email me (since I don't usually have the time to check the forum PMs...) if the trunk or the hood (or both!) happen, I'm in. Titanium, all the way.

So, $450 shipped for the hood... any idea for the trunk yet? I realize this is a repeat question, but I'm at work on a fidgety UNIX system and it doesn't like .php forums too much...

barkerh@eng.uah.edu if someone would be kind enough to drop me a line. Shaving like 40lbs. from my car (a white 91 classic) will be nice, and titanium won't look too ricey...

thanks! .::H::.

I dont mean to burst anyones bubble but the material is actually an "aluminized" fiberglass weave.

This is a quote from the website that I used to purchase my resin and materials

Quote:
Achieve the ultimate, high-tech composite look with aluminized fiberglass. Used for cosmetics, this fabric contains a thin coating of 99.99% pure aluminum to create a highly reflective surface and the appearance of woven metal. Frequently misrepresented as “silver carbon fiber,” this fiberglass fabric is used for adding extra flair to any composite project.

People, or at least I do, want to see the actual hood for our cars, not pictures of the one for Rabbits.

Carbon Fiber
while both the fiber glass and the carbon fiber are light weight..

one is MUCH stronger than the other (and more expensive)

I guess if the fiberglass hood is about 1/4 the price of a carbon fiber hood it could be a good deal...
