I just got my first issue of Grassroots Motorsports today (thanks SCCA ) and as I'm flipping through the pages, what do I see on p14 in the "Internet.Hot.Rod.of.the.Month" section but our own Fosters' NX2K!! Here's the short bit under the picture:

After a 10-month build, the Nissan is finally free to leave the garage and stretch its legs at track events. You can see Josh's Web site at http://webpages.charter.net/j_foster/Index.htm.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
"Another project car that I've owned is a 1988 Mazda RX-7 SE. All I have to say is that it did not run when I bought it, I got it running, and it didn't run when I sold it. Rotaries are cool little motors, but I did not have the time or money to spend on it."
reminds me of my room mate, he had a 89 RX7 that wasnt really running and he got it running, but wasnt running again when he finally sold it. cool cars but pretty unreliable at times lol
Here's some updated pics after getting some new toys for the NX:
Custom Steel's BABK poking out in the rear:
Some new scratches on the front lip (I tried to rip the gutter down when getting my rollbar installed on accident) :
What's bigger? Oh, and excuse the little bit of surface rust on the rotors - I sprayed the car off, and I didn't drive far enough to knock that off:
Custom Steel
Fastbrakes
It looks stock, if your car came with a jungle gym in it stock.....
Custom RSTB tied to the towers and to the rollbar (glare owns me):
Just how I like it, tight......
Dirty money shot for you perverts out there. The new bling in the Koyo, and the subtle Cusco bar (from Happynole) hiding in the back powdercoated wrinkle Black:
Most of the new toys came from Monty's crack house. I bled the brakes yesterday also, so it is ready for another track day at the end of the month. Harnesses should get ordered this week and some padding for the roll bar - help the addiction by checking my threads in the classified section.
well guess ill never ride in the back seat again....
Nope, this is just to give you something to strive for when you are working out - to be able to climb back there (well and limber enough to get back there).
Now THAT is my idea of a ride. 99% of people seeing that car wouldn't know how badass it is. Wide wheels, of the proper diameter, BIG brakes, a cage for stiffening, and a nice horsepower bump under the hood.... a fat radiator, discreetly mounted gauges to monitor the vitals, and a non-slammed suspension. No wings, no stickers, no grapefruit shooter exhaust, no bullsh*t!
Stick the average street racer in the passenger seat, take him around a road course for a session, and he'll pee his pants within the first few turns. Oh, and he'll probably think you have twice as much horsepower as you really do.
Wait until you get those harnesses, you'll be shocked at how much easier it is to drive on the track when you're not holding onto the steering wheel for dear life.
Bravo!
