I love the smell of fresh paint!

Over my spring break, my father and I decided to clean up the engine bay alittle by painting my valve cover. I wanted it to look clean and "JDM" .. So we played around with some colors and came up with the closest red metalic we could to match the red top SR20's. Heres a before shot and an after shot.

looks like poop

all nice a cleaned up

the flash makes it look a lot brighter

so what do you guys think?

Im glad to hear that everyone likes it! This was a custom color my dad and I made.. but ill tell you the ingredients.

First of all.. the brand of paint used is PPG / Global Product Line

1. Polyurthane etch primer. (for aluminum)
2. Course metalic mixing silver. (Base color that shows through the red)
3. Organic Maroon with alittle red pearl
4. polyurthane clear

We basicly messed around until I was satisfied with the color.

Thanks,
Neil
