first, by a $100 SER off a friend, then by the front clip of a GTIR off another friend, have ALOT of free time and space. have axcess to a good welder, grinder (even better would have been a plasma cutter) sawzall, cut the stock firewall out, replace it with a think sheet of metal, cut out the GTIR pedal assembly and go from there. jsut fill in gaps, grind down welds, maybe fill them in with some plastic filler (bondo) sand, prime, and your right hand drive!! haha, i forgot to mention switch over the wiring, stering, trim everything to fit the brakes, clearance the firewall for the booster, bend new brakes lines(not done yet). im currently still working on this project so its gona take some time. my goal is 1st of july. i forgot to mention that the dash dosent directly bolt up, you need to trim it up. the only thing that DIRECTLY bolted up was the bar under the dash that suports the stering wheel and sh*t. ill keep you posted

I agree, completely too much work to make your car useless at drive thrus. But if it makes you happy, that's all that matters.

ill try and get the pictures to work. as for the imspection part, i wont need to even have it checked. the car has a normal title, im just cuting out the fire wall and installing new sheet metal and some form the GTIR, its kind of a grafting process. insurance is just gona think its a SER so i wont need anything differnt. iowa isnt like the high demand states the make you pass inspections so its all legal (i hope/think) its gona be a nicley dont daily driver with my sr20det installed. im in no hurry to get it done soon but a goal is by july. the color is to yet be determined but im thinking a lambo blue. as for the dash its out of a GTIR as well as the rest of the interior trim.
