The Aftermath...

Here is a pik of my b13 after some guy in a Mercury Villager backed into me

I have an appointment tomorrow to see the insurance adjuster. The guy that hit me has full coverage. I'm trying to cough up all the receipts I have for all the things in my car. What do you guys think will be the result?

could be totaled, doesnt take much of a bill to total an older car...
if they can fix it for under $2,000 then it will be fine.

realistically....

quarter panel-$300
bumper- $300
tail light(cant see if its macked) -$200

$800 in parts...if you agree to using aftermarket or used parts it would be way less...

paint and labor could seal the deal though, easily at least $1000 in paint and albor

theres hope.

Damn Manny, that blows man. Sorry to see that. Like the guys said, they may total it. Being that our cars are almost 14-15 yrs old, it doesn't take much anymore. I sure hope they don't, I look up to your car. But if they do, rip that motor out and put it in another one!!

We'll see how it goes tomorrow. I might just grab a white b13 shell Dre has. OR...I think the end of the road may have come.

I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

dood, i'm tellin u, that damage aint sh*t-90 percent of the dent can be hammered out from the inside, and to reshape the bumper just hit it with a lil oxy-acetylene and it'll go right back into shape. using body filler wudnt be a big deal at all, i fixed a 300zx twin turbo with damage identical to that not too long ago.

One reason I use state farm insurance. They will cover anything permanently installed into the car. I ahve documented every install with photo's and receipts for this purpose.

Just an FYI and I hope everything works out bro.

I've had my car declared totaled twice and still have kept it and
be able to pay for the damages.

1st time- 18 wheeler backed up into my hood and dent it up.
Car was declared totaled, mind you it was minor damage.

2nd time- I ran over a firefighter hose left unattened on the turnpike in West Palm Beach.
Tranny was destroyed because of the connectors on the hose. They declared the
car totaled again.

Both times they paid me what the car was worth and with that money, I repaired it.

SO hope is not lost yet. Good luck with that.
