My Ride

I'm new to the forum and thought I'd put up some pics and a link to my site. My car is a 98 Sentra SE with a BB SR20det engine. My website is www.sr20det-utah.com

That is one clean B14. Nice car dude.
Why has it took you so long to come over to the forum?

Thanks, No real good reason why it's taken so long to get into the forum. I just found out about it about two months ago.

There doesn't seem to be very many SR20 enthusiasts here in my area of Utah. If there are any serious enthusiasts in the Salt Lake/Provo area let me know.

Nice lookin ride bro!! Didn't you use to have the Stillen grill on your car? I now I've seen it before, because I remember reading that those side markers are from a VW bug, right? What kind of times are you running with that beast?

Thanks for the compliments. I have worked hard on this car with a very limited budget.

Yea, I used to have the Stillen front grill but got sick of it. To be honest it never really fit just right. I think the stock 98 grill is very clean.

Yep, the side markers are from a New Beetle. They are the best side markers I've ever seen. They simply can't be stolen unless you rip off the fender. + they look good.

Oh, forgot to mention that I've never raced this engine at the track. On the street I've hammered 2001 GT Mustangs, SVT Lightnings, and even beat a 2001 Firebird ram air 350. That was awesome!!

I've only lost to an eclipse that had dyno'd above 300 wheel hp and he only beat me in third gear by 1 car length. I have been very happy with this almost stock sr20det. Still using the T25 and the internals are stock. Just running 11.75 psi when I race.

Thanks guys for the compliments. I also haven't gotten it on a dyno ...yet. That is something I really, really want to do but there was only one dyno in my area that I knew about and the shop that had it closed down.

+ I don't think the result will be accurate up here at 4000 ft. Based on how it feels and what it hammers on the street I expect at least in the area of 250 hp at the wheels.

Here's a bit of advertising...the APEXi AVC-R Boost computer is awesome!! I swear it gives me an advantage with racing. It constantly adjusts electronically to driving conditions to get optimum performance.

I definitely want to. I'm not exactly sure where I will be in May since I am finishing my B.S. degree and looking for a job, but If I can get my wife down to it I'll be there.

Sorry, but the clear corners Nopi has suck. Why? Because you pay just to have the amber reflector changed to a white one. The only ones I would consider getting are the Crystal Clear ones from Nisknacks, but since they don't have them right now I'll stick to the genuine Nissan corners.

Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh. I'm not saying that the stock ones are not ugly. They do look better if you replace the amber bulb with a clear one.

I am just not a fan of the clear corners like the ones from Nopi. And I'm not trying to knock Nopi cause they have lots of good stuff.

That's just my personal opinion.

Yuck. IMO you need clears on a white car. So much cleaner looking. The Nopi ones are only like $30, so not a big loss. I had them myself and they weren't bad at all for the money.
