New engine for the 92 se-r (56k - get cable)

I bought this 92 SE-R back in febuary with a blown motor for 500 bucks. I then purchased a highport sr20 from soko for 424 shipped to my door. Here is the result:

Almost got it all plugged in, except for the extra vacuum lines that I have left over from the EGR that I got to tie back in. I also got to find a friend with a 10 side metric socket for the automatic flywheel on the engine so I can swap over my other one from my blown motor. Thats the only thing holding me back. After that, I can put the trans on then the starter then the axles etc...

Also aquired for the car: bb manifold, t28, dry nitrous kit

because i only had the engine lift for 1 day, and i didnt have the right tools to take the flywheel off my old engine to put on the new one. so i just threw the motor in while I had the lift.

Good deal. I believe that you will need a GTi-R manifold in order to run a T28 though. I don't think the BB manifold will allow the T28 to clear the block.

nah its possible with the bb manifold, just got to clock the turbo right and possibly grind the block. im gonna try to use 2 exhuast manifold gaskets and play with the turbo to clock it right.

looks great, but i think it might have been easier, to put the motor complete with trannie, in from the bottom, but thats just IMO!

sh*t, to everyone who says its easy to do a swap from the bottom, kiss my ass!!! lol i took the blown motor out from under the bottom, it was the biggest pain ever. me and johnny wangwang had the motor on 2 jacks and the b*tch fell off, like 2 feet in the air. from the top is 10 times easier. there is nothing difficult AT ALL from putting it in from the top. i put it in by myself within 5 minutes. easiest part of this swap. the trans only weighs like 50 lbs so its no problem to pick it up and bolt it onto the engine. im not worried at all about that.

it came like that from soshin. the trans is being a pain in the ass. i just spent 2 hours swapping flywheels, pressure plate, and clutch, and after i finally get them on, i realize i didnt put the transmission metal gasket on before the pressureplate / flywheel install. so i just wasted my time.
