For those that don't know what Migraña means, it is spanish for Migraine Headache
The driver of this car is Rob's (aka SE-Rican) uncle. He goes by the name of Papo. This is a Datsun 1200 with the almighty SR20DET
On 8/12/05, the Migraña Datsun reached the holy land of single digit ETs. The Datsun ran a 9.5 at 142 mph with a mild tune launching it very weak out the hole. The car made under 500 whp. After the first pass he was told not to run 9's again if not he was getting the boot because Papo had not yet taken his 9 second club license test yet.
On the 2nd pass, he ran the car on the same boost level. He launched it hard (1.3 60 foot time), the car got a little loose on him so he let off and got back on it and then again let off so he would not break into the 9's. To his SE-Rprise, the car still went 9.5 at 117 mph Imagine if he would have kept in it.
Last Friday, Papo completed the necessary requirements to get his 9 sec. license; just in time for this past weekend's NHRA Sport Compact Competition
IIRC, Rob called me up Saturday night and told me that Papo ran a 9.1 @ 145mph...I will let Rob chime in on this. Unfortunately, things didn't go so weel Sunday. They were having some problems with the car holding boost. The only pass Rob & I got to see, Papo ran a 10.13 @ 135mph (bogging out the hole). He still won the race but he called it off for the rest of the day, he didn't want to push his luck. Apparently, the Precision GT40 turbo wasn't enough; too much shaft play and nice puff of smoke came out at end of the track.
Papo's goal is to eventually get into the 8.90's and keep it there; but, with the way the car is peforming ET's could be alot lower.
Cliff Notes: Rob's uncle drives a Datsun 1200 into the 9 sec. club with a SR20DET powerplant.

Well Manny you pretty much siad it all. The car ran the 9.1 at 145 mph at low boost It was at 25 psi. We have alot of time invested into this car and I think it finally paid off. With the help of many people we made this happen. It took me alot of time to convince him to go SR20 with this car. he now thanks me!!
The car is set up with anti lag. It pretty much creates boost at the push of a button. This past Sunday the anti lag stopped working and would not hold boost. We later found out the turbo had a bent shaft. At 25 psi the car made 513 whp. The car weighs about 1500 lbs. So that makes for a fast ass car. We have some changes to make. We are down grading from S5 cams to S4's to lose some over lap as we do not want to use cam gears and we are also going to a water injection set-up and getting rid of the IC. So we figure we will get another 100 whp out of it when all is said and done. At 600 whp this car will run 7's. Hell I think even lower. At the current boost we want to run 8.90's.
Feel free to ask any other questions. I say this a ground breaker for us SR20 guys!

Those pictures do not do that car any justice. It's probably the cleanest Datsun i've ever seen (and Se-rican know how much Datsuns I see), and now its one of the fastest. Props to Papo and the boys. Lets see some pics of the Suzuki
