Just came back from my first DYNO!!!

today it was time to dyno my buddies car for the first time. its been a working progress but it seems to be running right. we were running on a usdm ecu for a while *** it would die out at idle with my jwt ecu. once my buddy found a vac leak we put the jwt ecu in and the car now pulls like a crazy horse. its just a t25 but boy is it a fun ride!!! so here is the mod list:

avenir t25
1gdsm bov
walbro 255
nismo fpr
370cc injectors
front mount
jwt ecu
and stock everything else including the motor and im sure a few other things i cant remember.

dont know why the dyno sheet looks so small but we did three runs
the first we pulled 213hp and 236trq. we had a little detonation problem on the second run so we had a 207hp pull. on the last run the guy at the dyno added some high octane stuff in the tank and we got 215hp and 238trq. its pretty moddest but all we were hoping for was 200hp. i'll be posting up a short dyno vid asap.

how often does it happen where you have more torque than hp? we want to hit 250hp so we will be back soon when we get other upgrades.

thats exactly what impressed us. we still cant believe the torque. eventhough the car only has a t25 its a real neck jerker . we cant wait to see what numbers we see next time we hit the dyno. we are trying to squeeze as much power out of the t25 as possible at 10psi since thats what its daily driven at.

that we dont know, the guy at the R&D dyno said we would need a bung in our exhaust to measure the a/f. we ran a little extra fuel pressure just be on the safe side. we rather it be a little rich than too lean.

Nice numbers and let me guess your running stock exhuast or 2.5? If not what are you running for exhaust?

the car is running an andreas miko 3" turbo back exhaust. thanks alot for the compliments guys. we are itching to see what numbers it would make with s3 cams. and i think we might have a slight vac leak because the boost gauge only reads 10 vac at idle.

yeah, its a 9.5:1 usdm motor. we were gonna get the egr block off plates but since we had a spare jdm manifold laying around we just put that on the motor. it runs clean right now. we are mixing in some 101 octane in there mixed with 91 to reduce detonation. its hard to find a place that sells 101 octane around here in los angeles so we just went down a couple of cities over and got a 5 gallon jug from "signal auto". once again thanks for the reply guys

That is some monster mad torque... more impressive than the hp, imo. That car must be a blast to drive... picture me drooling.

Peace,
Mark

to be honest we still cant believe the torque on the thing. but it does pull very hard. with three of us in the car on the way to signal auto it was pulling hard in 5th gear. and we arent the smallest guys in the world and it was just pullin'. all you do is let off the clutch and give it gas and the torque steer really kicks in. it pulls so hard to the sides its nutz!!! my friend has been driving it turbo as it is for about 2 weeks and he still isnt use to the torque steer. and of course all of our honda friends give us sh*t about how weak it is lol.

i wouldnt think that a motor with around 156k would put down those kind of numbers. boy was i wrong, that sr20 is still running strong.
