I know... :sigh: I dont know what Mazda did in 1994, but she had not ONE ounce of rust... in OHIO!

Well she was going to be all looks but I wanted to swap a DOHC BP in her... Almost similar to the SR20 power wise. I believe it's the engine used in the Escort GT. (I know Ford) but its a very good engine:

Love this one
http://www.clubprotege.com/forum/att...tid=2232&stc=1

Lot of peoples on the protege sites use this motor, a lot of them go turbo, but its a great sleeper ride... Unfortunately people ruined the experience of driving her because I got multiple break ins... 4 of 6 windows were broken within cincinnati alone. And I didn't even have anything in the car... it just looked nice and people assumed I had a nice system etc.

Well time took its toll and I couldnt' afford keeping her looking nice like in those pics. About a year ago she started to look terrible.. So I took off the rims, and let her rest in the garage. :sniff:

I honestly really get teary eyed when i talk about her, because i got that car when i was at rock bottom in my life. Even though she was an SOHC she had pep, and she NEVER let me down. Always started right up...

Well I left her there for 8 months... I hated looking in there because I felt bad... So I decided this month that it would be a good idea to let her go... to someone who would treat her right...

I seriously almost balled when I started her up after 8 months... Battery was dead... so i took it to auto zone for a charge... Low Oil, hardly any gas, dirty as hell, rear quarter panel still broken from a break in, hasn't been maintained... but she wanted to turn... I turned the key and *chik chik* Couldn't get any detonation... I rubbed the dash ever so gently... and caressed her center console... Turned again... *chik chik... vroooom... chug chug chug* coughed up a bunch of smoke, but she still wanted it... She was still hungry. STILL never let me down.

Well the dude came from dayton on the 3rd and came to look at her. He was all excited and that made me feel even worse letting her go. We took care of the money arrangements and it was his...

Fortunately she was sold to a knowledgeable mazda head, and clubprotege returning member from about 2 years ago. That means good plans for her... He's gonna give her that TLC that only a protege lover can give... and I was happy as hell I didn't have to sell her to some underappreciative bastard from this neck of the woods.

It was very sad seeing her go so I got in my car and led the buyer and his friend the back way back on to I-75N so I could see her running one last time... As he turned on the onramp, I couldn't help to think what a metaphor this was.... Move on Ameen out of the Mazda World, and into the Nissan World. Put that money that you got from the Pro' towards new Mods to the 200sx...

I think that "Khadijah" would have wanted it that way...

I was interested in the 98s (not sure how early they go). They look like fun cars.

Not really sure... I stayed away from boost... mainly because I know nothing about them... but I'm sure this is simply related to how much boost they are running.

I can find out and post on here later...
