02 sonoma on black 17's... freshly painted!

Some of you might remember this post i just made the other day:

http://www.sr20forum.com/members-rides/152601-painted-17-rims-my-sonoma.html

Well i finished up all 4 rims this morning. started work on them at 11am, just finished at 5pm. And that was only 3 rims i sanded my ass off with some 180 grit. (which explains me starting drinking at 5pm ) anyways, here is the pics!!!

b13 se-r hiding in the background!!

blacked out!!! 15% tint, semi-flat black paint on the rims, damn im lovin it

Black on black - not a crime!!! Damn i love them. Now, i just need a 3" drop in the front, and a 4" drop in the rear, and i'll be good to go these rims are fu*kin 9.5" wide, and 10" total of tire are making contact with the pavement. soooo nasty.

Somthing dont look right, they look more along the lines of car rims.

#1 rule for trucks and rims. MUST have a lip.

thanks guys, i really appreciate all the positive comments! i've put 8 hours into these wheels... with sanding, priming, and painting. i'm glad someone else appreciates it.

i'm really re-building the truck again. before, i had black 20s with a polished lip. they looked "ok". but i sold them and went back to stock. now i'm starting over. I already have a 5 channel 650 watt memphis amplifier, pioneer component speakers, 3 mtx 10" subs in a sealed box, pioneer 45x4 headunit .wav / .mp3 / wma player, with sirius satellite radio installed. it has 15% tint also.

Now that i just got new rims, i'm going to do the drop like i mentioned, and possible redo my sub setup. maybe 2 ported 12" memphis subs. I'm also getting an intake, 170 or 180 temp thermostat, and maybe msd ignition.

yeah i bought the rims only because i had it planned out in my mind to paint them black. youd probably never catch me ridin durrrrty on some chrome rims. the chrome was flaking horribly on them, but nothing a little (well more like alot - 8 hours) of elbow grease cant fix.

i had originally planned to get them sand blasted and powder coated, but id figure i try one wheel before i dropped all that money on that and the wheel came out 10X better than i had imagined. So i am extremely happy I decided to paint them myself.

The wheels look beautiful.

They would look better on a car, but black on black is sexy though... why don't you put those on your b13?

Get some cheapy black mudder wheels and big tires and your set! Truck look real good with a fat sidewall.

Nice Work
