Nah h just ran two wires from the two solenoids ( one purple wire and one pink wire) back through the bulk head and put a switch on it. Now he can have the VVL as factory or switch it over so everything comes in at 5800rpm. Cheap and easy.

He wouldnt have known about if it wasnt for lucino vzr1, cheers man!

good idea was thinking about wiring the 2 cams together but was worried about engine wear and both coming on to agrresive when i didnt want...was gonna buy a greddy mss but this is a simple solution and works....one question but can this be done on the move?

once your not in vvl your grand it wont do anything but I would'nt recommend switching it whilst in vvl.

Was talking to some guy over here in Ireland who apparently knows a good bit bout N1's. He was saying by using an MSS it can cause all sorts of problems down the line.

The MSS sends a signal to the ECU telling it that its not at 180kph and thats how it delimits it. But he was saying that the ecu is programmed for certain A/F at such a speed and rpm and what gear your in. He was saying he;s seen many a VE engine blown cause of the wrong a/f mixture is this true it doesnt make sense to me just wanted to see what others thought

One other thing is there any way to change the a/f mixture easily on the sr16ve as he got his checked it running way too rich
