Well, yesterday marked the first successful shoot I've had using my flash as a slave. Anyways, here's a little teaser, I guess you can say. I need to spend more time on this, and the other's... so for now, this is what you get!
I've got some other shots that I think came out decent... all in due time.
Here's another, better one.
Third and final one... for tonight, maybe. Man, I should be doing my lab! GRRRRR
One more from my way driving home from class on thursday

Thanks guy's. I have a plain jane Digital Rebel 300d. The lense for 1 and 3 is my 50mm f1.8 and the 2nd one is the kit lense, 18-55mm f3.5. The flash is a 580ex matched with an st-e2 transmitter.
Digital SLR camera, first of the digital rebel series. With a flash, and something to send a signal to the flash so I can have it sitting on the ground somewhere else. 50mm is the zoom, if I remember correctly (and it's probably not the case) it should be around what the naked eye's perspective is. the 18-55mm is a wide angle zoom lense allowing you to get somewhat of a distortion (notice how in the 2nd picture, the car looks like it's distorted? f1.8 means I am able to get a lot of contrast between things in focus, and out of focus. the the fstop (f1.8-f22) the more in focus everything in the picture will be. The lower, the subject can be in focus but everything else blurred.
Gotta love SLR's Much easier to manipulate things and get the pictures you want, the first time. For everyone else, there's photoshop (I'm one of those others )
Something looks wrong about these pics... The first and second look weird for some reason. Did you edit them in any way except for border? The third looks fine... Beautiful pics, but there is something surreal about them that I cannot put my finger on...

Ok, well since I only have 1 flash, and I'm trying to light the whole car. What I did was take 3 or 4 shots without moving the camera, and moving my flash around. Then I merged them together using photoshop. I think what you are looking for in number 2 is a flash in front of the car, or at least the ground being exposed as well. However I was actually holding the flash above my head when I was getting the front of the car, so no light, or should I say, very little light was aimed down at the ground. The first one just sucks, there is no way around it. That was my first attempt, so I'll accept the sucktitude.

Dude, it in no way sucks. At least you put thought into it. Some people like to just snap pics of their car without thinking about lighting, etc. Personally, you did a great job taking different shots with only one flash, and merging them.
It's still alive, sorta. I need to figure out what I'm doing with my brake line. When I went to put my ss lines on I stripped the fitting on the stock hardline coming out from the engine bay (not the rubber line, the metal one). I tried to order it from Infiniti but it turns out they don't manufacture them anymore. So I've been searching online at junkyards, but it's too cold to do anything.
