What Shift Light?

Installed this the other day, adjustable shiftlight from summitracing.com:

nice, i like it

i had on my car, but i always just shift by feel

and it would blind me at night

I think thats pretty cool. Does it block air flow though or i'm guessing you don't really use it. Either way, I like it!

actually its not that blinding at night and i dont really use the face vents i usually just use the defrost and foot vents, but no it doest block air flow completely.

did it to mine like 3 years ago with the same light.

I've since taken the light apart and put LED's in the vent instead, and put the bulk of the light inside the dash. same effect without blocking the vent

thats pretty kool..i was woundering ***,is there a way u can make the security light on the se-r's in the guages,into a shift light.i think that would be pretty kool,dont know how bright it would be but no one would notice..

iv seen this done on a few cars. the coolest car was an old boxy honda hatch. turbo pipes were hiden inside the factory rubber intake hose, he had some 14 or 15 inch light weight wheels with some hub caps over top of them. that thing was insaine

you are mixing up two cars

there is an EF hatch 2 door with that shift light in the vent and 14" civic HX rims (made by eneki or w/e) with stock hub caps over them

the other car is an eg coupe with turbo pipes molded into the stock intake hose... the BOV was in the stock airbox.

i posted both in some sleeper thread
