Wow, didn't realize the 350Z rotors were that much bigger than the 300Z. You have all sorts of goodies on the car now! Yeah.. that rear diff fluids looks a little sludgy

I'm sorry I didn't copy everyone else's setup. If you need a preacher to tell you what mods to put on your car, the Reverend Veilside180sx might have a suggestion.
I have a question about the 350 rotors, did you have to install adapters to space the caliper out?
Thanks, yeah there are brackets, somewhat similiar to the one's that come with the wilwood kits for the sentra's.

I got the diff in last night... easier that I thought with just one person and went out for a test drive late last night and must say it was well worth it. I now know what a true 2nd gear pull feels like at 11psi... before this always ended with one tire lighting up and a loss of acceleration :dope:

Monty <--- Another victim of the go-fast crack pipe....
Spent this last weekend fixing problems from last year.
I broke two of the studs off and stripped out two holes during the few track days I had with the car boosted last year... lets just say I had a little exhaust leak off the turbo . I made a trip to the machinest to have one of the two studs extracted (one now has an extractor bit broken off in it), and all the holes rethreaded to 3/8th standard thread.
To keep this from happening again on track, I added longer studs and double-nutted them this time. Also I picked up a DP with a flexpipe built into it (cheaper then adding one), and added a bracket between the DP and tranny.
I'm throwing the Z33 rotors back on tonight since the new pads showed up this last Friday. They are CR6 pads from BHP... from MaddMatt, formally of Carbotech. The temps for this Friday are only going to be in the low 40's, so I'm thinking I'll be doing the track day on these pads, which will serve as street pads and wet track day pads too since the hawk blues suck in the rain!
Tomorrow the car goes in for an alignment and then gets a few days of DD'ing before the first track day of 08 for me . This is one of the fun track days where all the instructions are on track since Saturday and Sunday is a driving school... which I'll be working pit-out... oh the fun
Oh yeah, only 2 more weeks till the wife is due with our 2nd son

For brake pads, I decided to go with a pad that could be a dual duty pad... street and wet track days/autocrosses. Matt (maddmatt) had the solution for me, the BHP CR6 pad. So far the pad has good manners on the street and held up great on a cold/wet track day . These feel similiar to the panther+ pad, but were able to stop the 240 even when I was hitting 140mph on the front straight with ease
I got in my first track day of the year on March 28th, more details here, though the temps were in the low 30's and ended with snow, I still got in 200 track miles and didn't break anything. Best of all, the car seems to be well behaved on track with the addition of the HLSD and suspension upgrades. The takeoff Evo8 Advans did great and never showed any signs of letting go all day. The 3 tanks of gas that I burnt did hurt the wallet though
Finally, our new addition to the family... Noah McCoy
Not much for updates... with the newborn not much has happened in the garage for the past month.
I did get a dang good deal on a set of Kosie k1's (16x8.5 et37) with some 245/45/16 V700's mounted on them... so good, that I just couldn't pass them up
Oh man I've been looking for that exact size and offset 5 lug K1s for over a year Monty! Please, please let me know if/when you decide to get rid of them b/c I'll def buy them from you. Maybe after the race tires have been used up...

I'll keep that in mind... I wouldn't have sold the other set of K1's I had if they weren't staggered, I've always been a fan of the K1 wheel. To bad they don't fit over the 350Z track rotors though .
I did get these totally by accident though, I had a coworker/friend asking me to help him sell his old track wheels/tires from his long gone Talon. Once he gave me the specs, my ears perked... when he gave me the price my wallet opened . I'd suggest check out some of the local DSM forums, Matt.
Finally got around to getting the freddy oil pan on, this thing only sat in the garage for like a year. fitment was good and so far oil isn't pouring out of it... that's a plus . 5qts of Mobil 1 10-40 later and she's running again.
The new wheels showed up a few weeks ago... curious what it's going to take to get these 17x10 +25's to fit under the front of the car with 275/40/17 710's . The K1's lasted a whole 3 days in my garage before they shipped to a new owner. The dead kumho's were traded for a pair of 275 V710s, I just need to find another pair now.
some ebay traction arms showed up... I'll use these till I can get a set of Kauh's v3 arms later on.
Hopefully there will be more to come this weekend... like the install of a trailer hitch and some wiring...
