Well guys, since the last time I showed you all my car, I managed to blow her up. Long story short, I did what I preached to others not to do: I bought someone else's project. And when it was time to get some help from that person, he/she became impossible to get to.
Anyhow, on the suggestion of a good friend, I decided to have a shop do the work on my car. I sent the car over to Matt at Slick Motorsports, who is based in Brookpark, Ohio, which was not too far from my residence. Matt took in the car and swapped over a fresh SR20, along with a GT2871R. He also did some other upgrades for me while he was at it in order to support the new power levels that were to be attained with the turbo I was having installed. The pictures will reveal all.
While the car was at the shop, Matt also did me a huge favor of removing all the stickers from the car. I can now say hello to a world of no ricer-boy bothering the hell out of me on a highway anymore!
Also, in order to civilise the car a bit, I put some interior pieces back on. For comfort, I installed my B13 SE-R seats on. My '94 lives on in some fashion still! I'm also considering putting back some insulation and sound-deadening and even A/C whenever I come back from my deployment.
Enjoy the pictures below.
Cracked bumpers are us. What can I say? Ohio roads and parking lots suck and therefore the crack. This is why I had Matt raise the car up by an inch in order to avoid similar issues again. A new bumper or fix of the current bumper to come soon.
The rear end. I can't do a dog-gone thing about the black soot. It keeps coming back, so that's how it will look until I get the whole car/chassis repainted to black. Left those three stickers in the rear back on as I still use the products of or do business with those companies.
Stewart Warner boost, oil press., and water temp. gauges. I don't know a thing about that company, but those gauges are better than having none at all.
B13 SE-R seats FTW!
Interior shot:
Greddy Profec-b II and Greddy Auto Timer. They do alright, although the boost controller seems to be having a hard time with trying to stabilise this boost spike issue I've been dealing with at high boost. Any help in this regard would help. Also, head unit is a Pioneer CD/MP3/WMA player with satellite radio capability. Currently using the MP3 capabilities extensively.
Lastly, the money shots:
This is the best shot I could take of the new big-ass, thick-ass intercooler Matt worked up on for me:
That's it, folks!
