My Daily Driver: The NX

Sooo...it's been a while since I've posted my NX up. In fact, I took off older pictures to keep it a surprise on what's been going on with it. Anyways, I'll tell the NX story later on. I must say, the NX has turned into such a nice car, it's hard to believe it is a 'daily driver'. Anyways, here are three teaser pictures.

I'm sure people in the NX forum remember an auction on eBay for some OEM headlight covers, that got to a very high price. I will come out and say, I am that person who bought them! Surprisingly, my headlights had no rock damage or anything (not bad for 14 yr old headlights). But I stil wanted them for that extra 'wow' factor. Well, here are some teaser pictures. I will post more later, and the entire progress of this NX, since it has been a year!

The auction for the headlight covers (yes it says $182.50):

OO la la...

Makes me wonder if I am the only NX in the USA or WORLD that has these?! Doubt it...but seems plausable!

More pics to come! Any comments, flames, etc. will be appreciated!

-Oliver

Hot damn thats high-dollar!

My cheap butt would've bought plexiglass, a roll of pinstripe, and a bootleg Nissan decal.

I'll bet they look nice, though.

haha no. but i like these better than those GTO's because those GTO's don't look right (at least to me) with the rest of the body (it makes the NX looks too round). These covers are slightly 'curved' outward so it compliments the NX's shape really well, but doesn't ruin the shape and lines of the whole body. Makes the lights look rounded.

omg. i would have had NO shame in spending two hundred bucks on a set of floor mats....anything more than that would have been a little iffy. so now i know for next time i see something on ebay: be READY!!

Interior Pics

Interior Pics (no cracks on the dash, still original, everything is GOOD! Very good for 14 years!):

EDM Center Cubby (yes I mounted it upside-down, I didn't have to trim anything and it fits. Also because I didn't want my hand to rest on the door when you pull it 'downward' since there's a spring that closes it back up, I might break it. So you have to pull 'upward')!

What's this? Little seat storage cubbies!!! OEM TOO! Drivers/Passenger seat, direct 'bolt-on'! hahaha

Look deep into the eyes of the NX...

Notice how the headlight covers are slightly 'domed'? I think its perfect, and it gives it some shape without ruining the look of the car (like those headlight covers that cover the FULL opening of the headight).

Under the diamondplate floormats, I DO have NX carpets, but I don't want to ruin them.

I did have a black G20 armrest, but I removed it because I felt it was in the way when I shifted, and my right shoulder started to hurt because it was always 'higher' than my left so it wasn't relaxed when I rested my arm on it...

More pictures to come!

Yes, everything works great, even the A/C which I installed myself (didn't do the deadly "R-12 to R-134" conversion, instead used R-134 parts, and I charged with R-134). I will list the things I have done with the car with details, and show the unseen 'diagnostic mode' of the digtal cluster in a video. It's cool!

Your interior looks to be in really good condition! My dash doesn't have any cracks either but yours just looks super clean. Liking the center cubby too! Never thought of installing it upside down but it works
