Well I sold my old wheels for $400 to a friend who picked up a NX2000. Here is a couple pics of the old wheels. I will miss them, but time for a new look.
Well I found mint set of B14 SE-R wheels for a $100 That left me with $300 for tires. I ordered a set of Azenis RT-615's in 205/50/15. I took the wheels to be sandblasted and picked them up today. They came out great!
Now my dilema is do I paint them bronze or gold? The bronze that duplicolor makes is a dark bronze almost brown. Its too dark for my taste. I want a bronze like the Nismo wheels.
I am considering tinting the headlights yellow which I think the gold would look better with. If you have pic's of bronze or gold B14 SE-R wheels let me see them!!!
Here are a few pic's of the Avenir motor with the hole drilled for runners #2,3 for the external wastegate setup. And the new turbo mounted up. I'm almost there!!!!!!!! Its taking a little longer than planned but its gonna be worth the wait.
i too had my wheels sand blasted.....but i did it myself......its a pain in the ass.

I have to disagree that the duplicolor bronze wheel paint is dark. Its all in how you do it. I personaly Lay the surface in a WHITE PRIMER base coat first then spray. Heres a shot of some Honda wheels i did with the same method. and of course the more coats you use the darker it gets. So what i do is coat till it gets to my desired shade then Clear coat.
But thats just my expeirance/ opinion.
PS: Don't mind the white primer on the shot tires, since they are gone I didn't feel the need to keep overspray off them.
