I've never really started a thread for my cars here on SR20Forum, so now that I've got my project car done I figured why not.
These first couple are the only couple alright shots I have of the G20. It's my daily driver, and is a great car. I got rid of my old Chalkboard SE-R to get it, and I'm happy with the car, though I do miss my Classic a lot.
And then there's the Yelli Celi. Last summer I painted it myself, and I just recently finished up the engine bay. The car was originally teal, and originally had a weak 7A-FE motor in it. It's a little bit better now.

Nice 4age conversion to the celica. I used to seeing them in a rolla or even tracell, but never a celica. I helped a friend of mine put together his 96 with a 3s/5s hybrid setup (3sgte head on a 5sge block). It runs, but he's having issues with oil pressure (which he said is a common problem). Hopefully he gets it sorted out and it runs good. Not enough quick fwd Toyotas in the US.
Not a huge fan of the kit, but you cant argue with anything else. The celica is very nice. I would love to drop that motor in my 91 corolla.

And, I don't mind at all being looked down upon by purists. Indeed I don't mind at all being looked down upon by those whom I do not look up to at all. -

5S-GTE? Sounds pretty sweet. Is your friend a member on 6GC.net?

I'm down if I'm still around the area...I just graduated so I may be moving soon. You're the guy with the Tsuru front end that's always parked near the Campus U-Tote-Em, right?

I'm using a stock AT200 C56 tranny right now. For a while, I was using the AE101 C56 tranny that came with the engine (and has shorter gears), but after two years of driving, the synchros were pretty much shot by the time I pulled it.

It really is. My car weighs about 2480 lbs. with just a little bit of gas in it, and the silvertop 4A-GE's 160-hp power output is over-rated from Toyota (at least with factory AE101 electronics). It's nowhere near fast and is actually kinda sluggish at low RPM, but it's reasonably quick once you get the RPMs up. If I were going to do a swap again, I'd probably go 3S-GTE, but I'm still pretty happy with the 4A-GE.
