I think i'm supposed to have perfect spelling, because as soon as I do that, it doesn't do it anymore!

Here are pics of the valve cover in its final coat of metallic red paint, here's fresh after the coating:

you can tell it's uneven because the paint is too fresh, but check out these pics after a few minutes of letting it dry:

so what do you guys think? in about 4-5 hours i'm going to begin the first clear coat then at around 6am i'll do the 2nd coat (4 hrs after the first one) then at 10am i'll do the final clear coat! mean time i'm gonna work on the "Nikki" lettering

thanks guys! i really appreciate the feedback. I know a lot of people voted for the "Nikki" to be on the valve cover so I will definitely be doing that, somehow... ...anywho, I will be sanding my driver side fender today since my class was cancelled due to the Santa Clarita fires out here in SoCal so I'll have time to sand that fender and clean the ride nicely after I get home from getting my hair cut. Meaning I'll be posting pics at around 8:30 or 9PM (PST)

stay tuned guys, this week and next week are going to be the start of a couple of upgrades to Nikki. For those waiting on the How-To for the shift knob, i'll be posting a How-To by the end of this week, hopefully much sooner, sorry but it's Mid-Terms this week well Here's what I'll be doing within these next two weeks:

1) Driver's Side Fender being Sanded, Primered, and Installed
2) Parking Brake Custom Shift Boot
3) Oil & Oil Filter Change
4) NGK Spark Plugs & NGK Spark Plug Wires
5) Ebay Strut Bars
6) SE-R Wheels
7) 98 Spec. Grille Revival
8) Complete Wash, Wax, & Polish done by yours truly
9) "Nikki" Name placing on the Valve Cover
10) Red Grounding Kit Purchase & Install
11) Beginning of the Custom JWT POP Charger CAI

Along with these upgrades, repairs, and custom work, I'll posting other ideas, showing the direction Project Nikki DD is heading in and also any other thoughts concerning the project. Well stay tuned and thank you for reading, more pics & progress coming along daily!

UPDATE!!!

So my Front & Rear Strut Bars were shipped yesterday, they are the Ebay ones

they should be here either by tomorrow or Saturday, though i'm hoping they're here tomorrow in case i can go to meet, i have those babies on. tomorrow i'm also buying a new Passenger side front caliper and new rear brakes, since i know my car needs them, luckily for me i get a great deal on OEM parts that'll be great! here's what will be done Friday night:

1) New Passenger Side Brake Caliper
2) New Rear Brakes
3) Sanded, Primered, and Installed Driver Side Fender
4) Full Interior Clean Up (Just vaccuming and making her clean)
5) ALSO! a car wash, wax, polish & detailing being done by me!

I just got word that I am going to the car meet this saturday since my dad won't need my car, apparently my family is carpooling with my uncle!

so what i'm gonna do now is, what I mentioned above and HOPEFULLY the strut bars come in by tomorrow!

There is one thing I'm going to take a crack at, although I don't know if it'll work, I want to try and paint that side molding on my car and paint it black, but i'll photoshop it first and see what i think about it! stay tuned and sorry it's been so long since my last actual update, i get paid tomorrow so i can buy my caliper and brakes then the rest is to my dad to help out! tough times but i got some nickels and dimes for the repairs.

Yea for sure! see you this saturday. Dude mine looks great on pics but it didn't come out so great or maybe its just me that thinks that but it could've looked better, its got some rough particles so i may have to sand it down the road and re-touch it you know.
