thanks for the offer, but for right now, im loving the open dump, and when the time comes to go back to having exhaust, im either going to hack up my pacesetter and turn it into a mani or make a mani from scratch

thanks for the offer ***

im sure some of my intercooler piping is leaking but it doesnt matter because its all in front of the maf.

the gayest thing about using the s13 mani and turbo is the hot side intercooler pipe. its a pain to try to squeeze without hitting the radiator

and also the exhaust. i think its impossible to get the exhaust back under the turbo and into the stock location. also, i couldnt get the stock s13 j pipe to fit, it cam down on my front motor mount. it was close, but wouldnt fit. thats why i am running the divorced down pipe. i had to make my own flange and start fresh from there.

good luck boosting yours man!

and dont forget to take the line from the VC to the intake off!!!

ill try to get some under hood pics of what it looks like so you know what im talking about with the hot side pipe, exhaust and vacuum hose.

aw see, thats where we differ...i got the avenir manifold. also got fwd application style hot pipe from gregV, used for $8.26. i dont think it would have mattered in my case with the avenir mani, but just to be safe. still gotta hack shyt up though to make it work right without the proper intake pipe. oh well a little DIY custom never hurt! my j-pipe is all set too. got that and the mani as a pair when i bought it.

pics will always hep my process since our frankensteins are similar in dna
i have an idea....but not 100% sure what about the VC vac line. your project is dope though! waaay dig the paint.

aight. got some pics. but dont rag on me about quality of my welds, or any of the things i cut corners on. most of them were done in an impatient rush to get the car finished and running.

and most of these are for 93specv

here you can see how close it is to the radiator

the divorced downpipe

blowthrough FTW

and here you can see the line you have to take off. the hose with the screen on it (very ghetto i know) is only supposed to see atmostperic or vacuum. when it sees boost it pressurizes the engine (head not just the crank case) causing the dipstick to pop out.

i also had my spark plug holes filled with oil because it pressurized the head and pushed the oil past the VC gaskets around the holes.

PM sent....
so why did you do the downpipe like like?
you are running the stock actuator correct? no external wastegate?
i thought i had it all solved, but in going to get at it today....finally....
i realized i am having the same issues as you. i figure 1: remove the actuator and run an external gate, or 2: turn it backwards like you and get steel braided lines. seems like the only options!

I would get those pipes redone over the winter or something..... yeah i know your saying don't rag on you.....but they look crappy either way, and this is because you did not take your time. At least get some u bends and make the transitions better. You could make the turbo outlet pipe 1000% better with a little more time spent on fabbing......IMO......get em redone.......

i agree. i made them in a rush with lack of material. im in the process of making a new manifold, and once its done it'll force me to remake the hotside intercooler piping. as for the cold side, ive got a little surprise im working on. it should look tight when done
