my NX build (lots of pics, and more to come)

Well, I bought this NX with plans to fix it, and turn around and sell it so I could buy an Integra... but, after building it, driving it, and killing a few integras, i decided to keep it, and im happy I did. Time line from July 07 to December 07

This is what it looked like the day I bought it:

This is the problem:

Engine bay: (wish i would have welded the chassis before we put the new engine in)

The jdm sr20de that I bought from my best friend for 450 bucks:

The engine in, with the new fender:

Sanding for primer: (and the black wheels)

Primer:

This is the way I've been driving it: (plus my best friends car)

Now im taking it back apart and doing body work so it can get painted:

My future plans are:
Turbo
smoke lights
coil overs
roll cage
welded chassis
and to race the HELL out of it!

well, those are the pics I have taken thus far! I will add more tomorrow of the process I made on body work today.

If you're going turboed in the future, why not cut some holes and finish them before the car is painted? Turboed NXen like to overheat.

This is what I did:

im going too, i just started working on the hood the other day, and am up in the air on what i want to do as far as changing the hood, i know for a fact that i dont want to leave it stock, im thinking about putting s STi hood scoop on it, i think it would be a first for an NX.

if not, im going to put an inverse scoop in the back of the hood near the windshield.

well here are some update pics from the yesterday and today:

there was a little dent above the top corner of the windshield that took forever to make perfect

i cant seem to get the gas door where i want it

still cant decide what im going to do to the hood

got tired of sanding and bondo so i painted some of the dash

and then tinted the side markers and turnsignals

and yes you can still see the lights through them

now i just need to finish the passenger side, and sand it down going through the different grits

and i finally made up my mind for the color.. im going to go silver im never seen another silver NX

I think that an Evo 8 style hood or Impreza GC8 style hood would look sick...

With the GC8 style you could get the hood vents and then to change it up you could even use a carbon fiber sti scoop...

something to consider. I am just going to get an oem style carbon fiber hood for mine.
