s13 HB Project

Figured it was time to take pics and show you guys my new project. Car needs alot of work..but for the price i paid for a running sr20 swap *granted it was not a shop swap but a backyard bumbled wire swap* it was still a great deal.

The car is setup for sleepy eyes now..but due to a screwed up headlight...looks like like i have a lazy eye

Thanks to a forum member, i will be replacing both fenders, both headlights, and front bumper. If your looking for a pignose hit me up in about 2 or 3 weeks.

Stock muffler to keep it sleepy

This is the qt. panel of doom. When i grind this out...all i can hope is its a big dent of metal that no one pulled out BEFORE they shoveled bondo in it, and not a hole with bondo over it. If so...we start welding.

exhaust.

Shot from the back.

Dont look to hard, you will see alot of what im missing Agian..alot of small stuff, and needing to be rewired for a cleaner look.

look at that lazy eye....

Hey TJ I see what you mean about the 1/4 panel now, hopefully you'll be able to pull it out and make it look ok. The car seems pretty decent for the price, it just needs a little tlc. I'm looking forward to seeing it with the new front end parts.

Will update some pics hopefully next weekend if they are not already painted :P Started working on the new bumper most likly that will be ready for paint next weekend. If someone is interested in the lip or pignose you could start throwing offers at me and maybe i can remove the front lip early?

dude... i would seriously consider just replacing the quarter panel altogether. grind out the mud first to see how bad it is, but it may be easier to just replace the panel.

Actually...the idea has crossed my mind. But im hoping to do as little welding as possible. Worse case that im HOPING, is that i grind out the mud someone slapped on it, weld the holes they used to pull the dent, and then worse case, use a hot weld and cold water to shrink the metal back to what it should be, THEN straighten the quarter. Which of course i will take pics of the qt once i grind the mud out. Looks lovly doesnt it? Sence its my DD im trying to keep from any massive body work, other wise, i was going to cut the qt out and mold on some widebody qts.

What i really dont understand....is why someone would pull the dent *if you look on the backside you see the screw holes where mud is oozing thru after the dent was pulled and whiped* and still need THAT MUCH mud...and didnt even block it...

Time for a long due update...not much but a bit...

Recently i tried to sell the car, first...my price was to high, so i lowered it to get literally JUST what i needed for a different car...after that someone actually said..."This has stolen car written all over it"...so, i kept the car...so lets up date:

Soon, i will be replacing all the ic pipping with a greddy pipe kit trade for the lip from my car.

New hotpipe and HKS SQ bov on the way as well....

I got some body parts from a forum member here, here are some updated pics on those parts :

Shot of the bumper sanded down, has a few scuffs here and there...which AFTER we prime it will be sanded agian and glazzing puddy used *to insure it sticks to the primer* then sanded and primed agian for paint.

The headlight covers i actually rattle sprayed but as you can see body work was done. One i was actually able to block with 220, then with 400 to get waves out and didnt need body work.

These were taken with a cellphone, turned out pretty nice though. The fenders turned out really well also. One fender is actually already primed, which agian...i used the rattle spray paint...mostly just to keep any metal from rusting sense i couldnt use the shop to have them primed like they should be. Turned out nice though. Soon as i have pics of them i will post them also will post pics of the parts on the car, and when the upgrades are done.

Top of bumper, dont mind the scotch on top the bumper, but great stuff to scuff in the corner of the lights and edges Much like this:

Will update agian as soon as i have more pics, time, and things done.

hotpipe, hks bov, bumper, right fender, headlight cover, all put on....i couldnt get the left fender to fit in the car to goto the shop...so that will be next but the car looks SO much better...its a HUGE difference. The car was running EXTREMLY rich that night hwen i left work...i mean, fuel just dripping all over the place from the exhaust tips. So the car is in the shop being checked out....should come out with a nice tune....hopefully thats all

Edit: Ill post new pics as soon as my car is back...already miss it

Update:

Got the car from the shop...they put the new hks wastegate actuator on...still ran horrible *before they even started work on the car we told them to check all the ic pipes...they didnt* Sense it was running horrible they set it so the wastegate was open so i could atleast drive it home...where, of course, i had to fix it on my own.

When i picked the car up first thing i did before even going inside...jump under the car and inspect pipes, sure enough....on the intake side of the IC the pipe had slipped offo n the bottom creating a huge leak. I told them about it...they went OH SO THATS WHY!...great guys, just wish they had checked it out sense we asked them to. Anyway...drove the car to the shop got the pipes put on, reset the wastegate then left. I was only running 5 psi, so...when i got home i reset it...only way to much...15 psi on stock injecters and internals...didnt feel safe didnt even run any stronger than 8 psi. Today i went out and got it set right at 10-11 *I only saw it hit 11 once in 2nd*

The car idle...beautiful. The combination of new spark plugs and a non leaking wastegate just made the car SO much more fun to drive. Ill get updated pics asap. Been working alot
