Widebody Pulsar N14

Hey Nissan people.

This is my wide body N14 Pulsar. It's been a project of mine for about 2 1/2 years, and I've recently committed to finishing the wide body front and rear guards on it, and it's almost done! Here are some pics of it, taken on December 23rd 2012.

I'm pretty stoked to think that I should finally have all four big wheels on it tomorrow! (it's had 17x9's on the front, and 15x7's on the back for about 6 months...)

Current state of my car.

Most of the body work has been done now. Still needs side skirts, front and rear bumper mods, finishing of guards, painting... But hey, It's finally got the big rear guards built and wide wheels fitted!

Hey se-rated r.

Thanks!

It's about 50/50 for looks and function. I've always loved both the look and performance of rally and hillclimb cars, especially group b rally. Also more recently I'm pretty into time attack style.

So I do love the look of wide guards, but only if they are functional. The guards on my Pulsar are as wide as they are to fit 17 inch rims 9" wide on the front, and 8" wide on the rear, with 25mm spacers all round. The rims are fitted with 245/40/r17 Bridgestone Adrenalin RE002 tyres. Before this it had 15" Enkei rims with 195/50/r15 tyres, and it had some pretty serious traction issues. It makes 295FWHP running 13psi boost.

It's purpose is mainly to be an enjoyable (and humorous) daily driver, with the intention of also doing a bit of casual track and drag racing.

Here's what the engine bay looks like.
- T04e turbo
- Custom exhaust manifold by Trevor Dart.
- Custom stainless down pipe by Trevor Dart.
- Tial MVS wastegate
- HKS blow off valve
- Aluminium intake piping.
