Some shots of my B13 project....

and my B15. Guess you guys don't like B15's; even if they are powered by the mighty SR20

Well the B13 pics are toward the end of the album and were taken about 3 months ago. I have reassembled the front fenders (wanted to get rid of some surface rust on the frame). Just have to source a bb longblock and have my t28 rebuilt and the project should come together in the spring.

that's different

Nice boost gauge idea! A couple of questions: What kind of wheels are those on your B15? Are they lightweight? Oh yeah, and where are you in PA? I'm in York.

Those rims are discontinued technomagnesia ralleyes (tech. was subsidary of MIM racing rims). They are NOT lightweight; they weigh around 25 lbs a piece (maybe a bit more). My B15 was automatic, so I didn't really go hardcore into performance. I just did enough to set it apart.

I will be posting more pics of my b13 as it progresses more.

I've been slowly tearing parts of the existing motor to see how things work, and lighten it up for the eventual motor pull. Plus I want to see what the hell was wrong with it. The sound it made when I braved running it was insane.

Thanks for the comments all.

Nice guage idea.
Did you wire the boost gauge into the horn assembly? What is holding the guage in place?

That was just an idea. I really like the location (plus its original). I will have to get an electrical boost guage; its too tight to get a vacuum line up through the steering column (may be able to use that crap nylon tubing, but I don't want to).

I used a hole saw to cut through the rubber coating and there is a 1/8" thick plastic piece next, and then about the same thickness aluminum frame under that. After some dremel work the guage squeezes in there and is held in place by friction although I plan on using the plastic sleeve that screws to the back provided by VDO. As long as I can devise a way to get the boost signal wire to the guage and have a reliable connection to the guage (that won't break when turning the wheel) I will have a nice custom set-up.

I was actually toying with installing a bearing in there, but I could only find a select few that may fit but they weighed a couple pounds and were probably to bulky to fit in such a small space.

If I can get everything to work I will definitely post a how-to in the turbo section.

Thanks for the comments

Very original and fresh idea and that's why I like it so much.

Your B15 looks nice. I've always liked the B15 body style, just not the QR motors the 02's and up got dropped in them. But they make great donor cars for the 20V VE swap, which is another reason I'd like to have an 00 or 01 SE.
