Re: A few friends stopped by...

The hatch should be faster than the SE-R. 140HP LS swap into a lighter car.......

Re: A few friends stopped by...

LS Swaps are the Torque Masters of the honda camp. Very SR20 like. 300whp with like 275Wtq. Junkyard setups can be made up for less than a Grand and put hatchs deep in to the 14s possibly high 13's. All the cars posted look Great!

Re: A few friends stopped by...

actually H22 are the TQ monsters of the honda camp.
and LS swap hatches are slow. unless they have some work done. ie: B16 pistons:P

B20 is where its at hehe

There are a lot of guys around here that would beg to differ. THe LS alone with basic bolt ons will only be quick because the car is light. If your staying N/A the get a VTEC head and some Toda B's. 13 second hatch right there. The LS swap really needs to be Turbo'd. The H22's are nice and all but make a Hatch too front heavy. They aren't Great for boost w/o internals and aren't that hot for N/A either. IMO they are kinda Blah.
EDIT: B20 Vtec plus boost=Tight pants.

I know what your sayin, granted honda almost needs the vtec because they dont make that much tq. and yeah H22 hatchback isn't the best performer, on a autocross course, but IMHO im not really impressed w/ Toda b grinds, my friend put these into his ITR and to me it seemd to smooth his powerband out and give him a lil but more lowend-midrange. B series are the best swaps for hatches since they were made for it. and dont forget you can also use the B16 tranny, for the shorter gears (pretty much the same as ITR gears w/out lsd) eh, im rambling now and i know wayyy too much about the enemy.
hah who am i kidding, some Hondas are cool :0

Re: A few friends stopped by...

Yeah hondas done right are Awesome cars. Its just the majority are riceboys. A friend of mine made 185WHP on Toda B's in a B16A on high compressions. They are unreal for gains on the K20's though. Like over 200whp with jsut cams.
