Today Jon (civicsRslow) and I took a trip down to an old powder and amunition factory that's by where I live. Most of the building is abandoned so it made for some really cool backgrounds and some pretty awesome exploring. Typicaly you get prosecuted if you get caught inside the facility, but we got permission from the people who own an art studio on the property, so we were free to go wherever.

I realize that the picture quality isn't the best. Keep in mind that these were done at the 1 hour place down the road so that we could get them posted as quickly as possible, and that I don't have any photo editing software at home so I couldn't enhance, sharpen or balance the pics. I'll be doing that at work on monday

Here are a couple with the smoke stacks and a weed overgrown crane :
These are just regular pics, nothing to special :
Jon's just chillin off to the side.
I see a fatty downpipe under there.
In case it dosn't show up clearly, it says "Power House" above the door. Just thought it was fitting sitting above an SE-R.
Inside the entrance to the building were a ton of old wheels and tires and some old boilers, kind of creepy, and too the left of Jon's car were a bunch of motors on palets (even a VW 1.8t with KKK03 turbo still on it)
A couple shots looking at the cars from inside the building :
Here are a couple from inside the buildings. I had a blast just walking around and looking at stuff.
This is looking through a rustted door, with the glass broken out, and seeing all the shattered windows.
Here are some headstones that the artist put in the building for a creepy photo shoot and never took out. Since I knew how they got there so it wasn't to wierd, but I'd imagine that it would be kind of freaky if I hadn't known.
There was a ton of moss and standing water on the west side of the structure. I thought that the reflections of the water and the shadows from the busted windows made this pretty cool looking.
This is just as you enter the east side of the main building. Off to the right is the boiler room.
Saw a cat.
