Re: The new 17" Buddies

Well, I put the RTR power steering eliminator in about 2 years ago and when sitting still the steering wheel is a little stiff. Not sure if i am just getting buff or what, but turning the wheel takes less than half the energy now. And the ride is great on those tires (have the hyperco gen 2 on AGX with the AGX set to 6 in the rear and 2 in the front).

Re: The new 17" Buddies

Those are great! I love 'em. 17" is a bit bigger than I would choose, but the styling of the wheels alone make your car look great.

Re: The new 17" Buddies

I like it bro. I personaly would need to lower it a bit more in the front. Great Choice of wheels. What size tire did you end up getting?

Re: The new 17" Buddies

I can't exactly lower the front, hyperco gen 2 on agx. The car sits the way it sits. It is level if you look at the rocker panel. Tires are listed up a ways, but yoko es100 205/40. The wheels are awesome. ANd through ebay no one else bid and I got them for $550 shipped. Gotta love that. They came in fast to.

Re: The new 17" Buddies

Yeah the hyperco's seem to favor the rear a bit, looks good but you gotta clean up behind the wheel, clean your splash guards and PAINT those calipers, either black or silver if you want them to stand out. (id say black) Oh and with all that extra room throw some ad22's on there (unless those are ad22's and the 17" wheels really dwarf them.)

Re: The new 17" Buddies

Um, yeah I have had AD22 for a really long time now. I was actually going to rebuild them, but honestly I am more concerned with all the turbo changes I have been doing. Honestly, the wheels are the only bling thing on the car. I do have tsuru front and rear with a sunny bumper, but all that looks stock to. Headliner hangs up front, cracked windshield, paint flaking on hood and a touch of rust on the rockers now. All will be fixed in good time.

Re: The new 17" Buddies

Thanks all, the ES100's stick much better than my khumo did, but I am wondering if that is from the difference in wheel size? Probably partially due to that. The ES100 ride great by the way.

Re: The new 17" Buddies

The wheels are cool. Dang do I love your bumper - HOTTTT!!!!! There looks like a little bit of front fender gap, but it's not to bad.
How's the fitment? Did you roll your fenders or anything to get the wheels to fit?

Re: The new 17" Buddies

5mm spacers in the rear and nothing up front and they fit like a charm. The tire company put these huge 5/16" spacers with brought them out tooo far and they rub on deep dips or right hand turns (only the driver side rear rubs passenger is just fine all the time).
