Fireplug's 240sx: Built SR, Timeslip, etc.

Here's a pic. of it from last year...

Here it is this year.

The only small changes this year are:
1.) J30 Limited slip (no more open differential)
2.) 300zx 30mm calipers w/Brembo Slotted rotors
3.) Buddy Club P1 wheels (16X7.5 up front and 16X8.5 in rear)
4.) Whiteline polyurethane bushing kit
Below is a picture of my fully built SR that's going into the car this winter and a picture of my timeslip on the stock SR with bolt-ons.

Re: Fireplug's SR: Part II (Timeslip & Fully built motor)

Ran a 13.0@105 with the stock T25, basic bolt-ons, un-tuned, 92 octane pump gas, no weight reduction. I had a sh*tty 60' I'm sure if I cut that down it's definitely a high 12-second car.

And here's my pride and joy...The fully built SR20DET. Can't wait for her to go in for next year...

Motor Specs:
Motor cleaned, mangafluxed, and balanced
micropolished crankshaft
Bored 40 over and powerhoned
Wiseco Pistons (9:1)
Eagle Rods
Power Enterprises 1.5mm metal head gasket
Ferrea double valve springs, titanium seats, retainers
5-angle valve job with radius entry
HKS 272 Step 2 cams
HKS adjustable cam gears
Tomei Rocker Arm stoppers
ARP main & head studs w/ fasteners

Turbo/Fuel/etc.
Turbonetics 62-1 Turbo w/ Stage 5 wheel (4" inlet)
Top-mount stainless manifold
Tial 40mm wastegate w/ 1.0 bar spring
MSD 96/lb injectors
Custom top-feed fuel rail
Nismo adjustable Fuel pressure regulator
Haltech E6X Stand alone fuel management
SPEC Stage 3 clutch (6 puck sprung)
Greddy Intake manifold (not yet purchased)

That's all I can remember for now. Can't wait to get it out!

NICE!!! Keep us updated. I'm just wondering why your using the Spec Stage 3 clutch...I'm using the same exact clutch. Spec website states it is good for about 320 TQ...with your list of parts on that motor, sounds to me that you will make over 320 TQ. Is the TQ rating different for FWD & RWD?

Re: Fireplug's SR: Part II (Timeslip & Fully built motor)

Lol, that was my buddy in his Supra (BPU'd of course) he has a precision single turbo on it and some other stuff. His best run of the day was an 11.09

Yes, it's completely different. The SPEC Stage 3 for a rwd SR is rated at 450ft/lbs of torque.

NICE! I've always admired your car. I'm running the Buddy Club/Koseis on my S13 as well; do you know of a vendor that carries center caps for the S13 application?

That is a SWEET engine. It's gonna be a fast machine when you're finished. What suspension are you running?

Thanks, I'm pretty sure that no one makes a center cap for the Kosei K1/Buddyclub P1 style wheel though. I'm running Tein HE coilovers, (Raised up 1 1/2 inches all around this year b/c of the 255/50/16's in the rear and 225/50/16's up front) front&rear strut tower bars, and Whiteline's polyurethane bushing kit underneath.

Re: Fireplug's SR: Part II (Timeslip & Fully built motor)

Big props for a very clean car and more props on an even cleaner motor.

I also agree with keeping the original front end on it. Lots of people are on the Silvia front end, so seeing a clean example with the original nose is refreshing. That motor should make that car sooooo much fun to drive.

Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming too.
