Work in progress...56K warning

Just thought I'd share a few pictures. Following in the steps of Greg Perry for what he did for his wifey's NX2000, my SE-R is currently undergoing a mild facelift at the local Vocational-Technical School. For the price of materials only (estimated to be about $200-300), my car is getting a new Pearl White paint job. The only catch is that they'll have it for 3-4 weeks since they only get to work on it during classtime.

Needless to say, I'm undergoing boost withdrawal. Here are the pics from my 2nd weekly visit to check it out:

I hope to have her back around Christmas time.

It SOUNDS like a good deal. Let us know what the end results look like. I have considered this route for my b14 but the stock paint isn't TOO terrible yet so I just don't know.

I'll be the first to admit I know nothing about painting a car. I don't know what they'll be using. I'm not doing any work on it, just checking in once a week to see the progress.

The headlights are coming out, they just didn't get around to it yet. Not sure why they started masking it off though.

I just want the car to be all one shade of white for once, instead of 4 different shades.

Something weird about everything was that the ENTIRE passenger door had bondo on it. Once they stripped it down all they found were two door dings that they pulled. Strange.

looks like tiger-hair to me, anyway i dont see why there is so much either. unless your door was crushed it should not have that much filler of any sort. can you tell how thick it is?

I would say its about 1-2mm thick. Not overly excessive, but definitely unecessary.
