cleaning up my 180sx sr20det black top

here is some pics of me going through my sr and cleaning sanding and painting! enjoy, its not done yet, there is a lot more of stuff to do but hey the main stuff is done

i had my intake manifold bead blasted heres a before and after.

1992 240sx coupe, s13 lsd, kts coilovers, sr20det black top, large front mount, tial 50mm bov, 3in intercooler piping lol!, 3in dp to 3in electric cutout, jgy black clutch (btw nice). and ofcourse walbro. newly added to the mix, cp pistons, arp hardware, cometic head gaskek! soon to be 2871 or 3076

thanks alot guys! it actually only took me 2 days to get the stuff you see done... i still need to get the turbo ext's, crank angle sensor, water necks, pullies so on cleaned up... but i want this one to look cleannn when it goes in! and best believe im going to spend just as much time on the engine bay cleaning it up.. ill get some more pics of the stuff im cleaning tomorow. im going to order my intake manifold gaskets tommorow, so ill be able to bolt it all the way back on!

Holy crap that is clean. How much did that bead blasting thing cost you? And were would I go to get it done?

well i got the bead blasting for free, my next door neighbors are in high school and take autoclass so they have one in the shop... but if you wanted to get something blasted, a machine shop would be a good place to start or maybe a paint shop for something.. im sure if you called to these places, if they didnt have one im sure they could direct you in the right direction because im sure they have a lot of parts that need to be blasted. good luck

naw just a bad pic its actually clean its just not glossy like the fress paint on the vc. and i dont want to just throw paint on everything, it kind of cheapens the look if you take it too far you know!
