Just pulled motor and trans at CAP today..

Got a motor and a trans out of a 94 b13 if anyone is interested. Both have 150k on the clock, and if im correct the 94 trans didnt have the pop-out problem so this should be good to go without worrying about 5th gear going out. The motor will just be the long block and Im going to compression test before I sell the motor, so this is just a heads up. If anyone is interested, let me know...thanks.

I saw you there...., I acutally pulled out the blower motor relay on that red SE-R......, I wanted that Shell really bad. Yeah I saw you or your freind talking to Jason towards were to pay for the parts...I knew that engine wouldnt sit there very long.......

any one know the gearing diffenrents between the 94 se-r and nd 94 p10 trns?
Im always trying to buy up junker trnses and what not for cheep just so i have spare parts. i rebuild my trannys but i like to get used prts so i dont have to spent real cash

i have t2 with no 5th, one has no 2 and grinds 3 iirc..... make offer and come get'm! lol

IIRC, gearing is a little longer in the P10 (can't ... find ... anything searching).

And in reference to '94's not having 5th gear popout problems, all the B13s and even B14s have had issues:

I was told that in some 93 models and all 94 models, the transmissions had been fixed so that 5th gear no longer popped out. If this is incorrect, I apologize as I personally don't know. I was going with what my good friend told me who has worked at Nissan for over 10 years. Perhaps he just never came across a 94 that had popout. I wasn't trying to B/S anyone to make a sale, i was just posting what I had been told. Either way, the trans is officially for sale, so whoever is interested, please PM me and we'll talk about a price. Im going to post this in the For Sale section, but im hoping to sell it locally so I can avoid shipping it. Head over to the N/A forsale section to check out the post. Thanks.

I *think* Nissan started putting in the updated part (what you get if you order the 5th-gear-fixit kit) in the B14s, but as that poll I linked to shows, 5th gear popout still affected even the later SR20 cars.

My old '93 (Calum's car) had 5th gear go. My old '91 (Kevin AKA FlodaSE-R's car) had it "fixed" sometime before I owned it.

My current '92 had 3rd gear popout.

FWIW, I've had pretty good luck with junkyard transmissions anyway. The one in my '93 is still going AFAIK, and the one in this car is still good after a year and 15K miles.

thnks fro imput guys i hve found a freingd tht will give me his trns i i replce it. he has the fith gear pop out. i just need things on the min shaft nd not imput shaft so i should be good with this.
I have fixed a 96 b14 with 5th gear pop out. was my fist pop out trans to fix
