I am in the Charleston, WV area looking for someone you can bend my rear beam to 0 toe. I found by searching 98sr20ve is in virginia, however from what i can tell he has had no activity on this forum since 2005. The car is a 2001 sentra SE w/PP. Anyone know of anyone close to my part of the country that I could trust to do the work?
Steve(98sr20ve) moved to Colorado a while back, and he's still very active on the forum. He was just in your area last fall to help a bunch of forum members with a giant beam bending party.
Doesn't help you now, but maybe someone will have noticed, understood and can do the procedure for you.
Peas us Riced,
Mark

lol, didnt realize he was still active on this forum, I copy and pasted my post from b15sentra.net. But yea, colorado doesnt quite help me. hopefully someone local that can do it will see this.
I'm sorry I didn't copy everyone else's setup. If you need a preacher to tell you what mods to put on your car, the Reverend Veilside180sx might have a suggestion.

I have had some interest as of late. I get really busy with my job and just have zero energy to travel and do this type of thing. Recently, I have rearranged things so I am not so overwhelmed. It's possible that we could work it out for me to come to your area. I need a covered garage, with a relatively level floor. Six prepaid people for the beam bending $135 plus my travel expenses.
You can do it yourself. Mike K explained how in the NPM article and SCC. If you don't know what to do from reading that article you shouldn't even try it. I am doing you a favor, only the worthy should pass.
Count me in Zipstrips. How much do you expect with travel expenses? I know it sounds silly but just curious maybe you have records from previous trips.
Just search around for a decent price on a plane ticket, as those change quite frequently. If he were to use previous tickets prices it would be way off anyway.
you could just be a nice guy and explain how to do it.
I know how he does it, I've seen the tool and helped him bend a few beams, and I still won't do it. If you don't do it exactly the way it needs to be done, you ruin the beam. If you bend it too far, there are no do overs, and if you kink it, you need to replace it. The price Steve charges is worth it, since the only other place to have this done, is in CA.

Just for a little perspective.... I spend hours trying to teach people how to do alignments and shorten there own Koni's. Threads with a ton of posts and I still end up with a ton of confusion. (Not complaining just stating a fact) Now people want me to teach them how to use a 6 ton jack with enough force to KILL you, never mind ruin the beam and you need to measure to 1/16th or less while you do this, AND have a gut feel for what is going on. Yeah, I want to start teaching people how to do that . People wonder why I don't do it more often. I don't even like doing it myself.
AND...
I have offered to sell the business to someone on the east coast that wants to start bending beams. I would teach them how to do it and they would then have a money making weekend job. So far no one has made a serious offer. Considering you can make 1K in a weekend easily I am shocked. Problem is you need to already know how to do a alignment. And it's hard work.
