Engine swap #2

Ok, I am looking for some guys to help me out yet again in a motor swap. The last one wasn't done very well because it was 40 degree's with heavy winds and it was in the winter when the days are SHORT, etc..... This time around the weather will be hot(better then cold) and the day will be long enough to finish a whole swap in a day. This time around I am going with a w10 motor instead of a de, so the motor should be asking for boost!

I am looking for a few guys, 2 will be enough, but more are always welcome. We will do this when its good for everybody schedule wise...

So if you want to help a fellow member out (again for some) please post up!

p.s drinks, food, and gas money will be provided for anybody that is there helping.

john 610-999-1553

btw I should be buying the motor this week.

Just a update:I'll be picking up my gti-r det tomorrow afternoon. I just have to order a water pump and then disassemble my current motor de motor, which should only take a day. I should be ready for the swap anytime after next weekend. If anybody has any ideas on when they would be willing to do this.....post up.

Doesn't matter if its a saturday or sunday, because it isn't my dd, so there is no rush. I guess thats about it, so come on guys lets get er done

Oh like I said drinks(your choice), food, and gas money(for those who work) will be provided since I know what is involved in this process and god knows gas ain't cheap!

Give me a call (john) at 610-999-1553 and we can talk.

The motor that is in there currently is a Turbo'ed jdm DE with about 1200 miles since the swap. I think that I spun a bearing since it knocks as loud as I can yell . Before everything messed up it dyno'ed 231whp and 247wtq on a t25@about 12psi with a decent amount of shaft play and ran a 13.4@106 at the track. The spring popped out of the cheap xtd clutch disc and caused the engine to come to a sudden hault, which broke the timing chain tensioner and messed the timing up, etc........ not exactly sure what happened, but I want to do it right this time and put a det in. Found a gtir front clip and grabbed the motor and wolla!

There are no extra turbo parts. The gtir I got has no turbo stuff on it. Its just the long block, and I already sold the old t25 and manifold. I have a nice gt28r going onto the gtir which is mounted on a gtir manifold already. I'll be using the same intercooler piping and the 444cc injectors from the gtir, etc......

so no there are no extra parts.

Yo John, I'll stop by to help out for a bit.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to call you back. Things have been busy with a new job and trying to get my Sentra ready for inspection.
