JDM engine suppliers around Philly?

I have the opportunity to buy back my '92 classic I sold 6 years ago. It currently has a blown engine, but I'm thinking of a DET or VE swap and I want to know if there are any reputable suppliers around Philly someone could recommend. Thanks!

I got a JDM DE and it was very clean. The owner (Mike IIRC) went out of his way to meet me at the shop on the weekend, so I could pick up the engine. Great service and the motor is running great. I have about 4000 miles on it so far.

I believe Jonwepa did business with them as well, and was satisfied.

I know they had a GTIR front-clip at the shop when I was there. I think Jonwepa picked up the longblock from that. I'm not sure they regularly carry FWD/AWD DET's or VE's.

If your looking for JDM engines, deal with the guys at JDM Exchange. There in the Northeast by Five Points (6610 Hasbrook Ave).

Well, it's a go. I'm getting it, but I won't be convinced the motor is blown until I put power to it and try to start it. It's sitting at a repair shop and the guy told me the owner was driving it, the throttle stuck wide open and it threw a rod. I did see one of the throttle cables(cruise control equipped) was off the butterfly while I was looking under the hood. It's holding oil, which is showing no signs of metal or antifreeze, and the antifreeze shows no signs of oil. Hmmm.....

Got it! It runs, but the bottom end is "noisy". Pics at eleven, or sooner...

CORRECTION:
Wife left camera 30 miles from home. Pics in a week, or so.

Yes I bought 2 motors from there a jdm de and a gtir(from that front clip in his warehouse, the jdm was immaculate and the gti-r was a little dirty, but is currently in my car now and running great, just needs some tuning. The guy really doesn't like dealing with nissan guys because he said we were cheap..LOL, which we are i guess..... He loves selling stuff to honda guys because basically they are stupid and will pay anything for "JDM" parts. I mean the guy likes to make money you know......Anyway all and all hes a decent guy.

http://www.j-tunedmotorsports.com

If you're still looking, J-Tuned Motor Sports can get you a clean engine as well. Don't go by the web site, call them and talk to Jim (the owner). He has done a whole bunch of RWD engines for the 240 guys, and the motors he gets are clean and complete. Jim is able to get DE's, VE's, or DETs.

He's in Newtown Square too, so he might be closer then the city.

I woke up in the middle of the night last night and had a stupid idea. I may see if I can get her in at the local Vo-Tech school for a rebuild and some bodywork.

Then again, once the title is in my name I may just post it here for sale....
