An Offocial East Coast Club?

Hey. Hows it goin? I've noticed a lotta Nissans in the East coast area but lack of formal clubs. DNE and HNE are very succesfull and I would like to try to get something offocial started for the MD/PA/DE/DC etc area. Does anyone think this would work? Anyone like the idea? I've been starting to get it together in the regional section of NF. I'm everyone knows how to get their. But definately, this is something I'de love. An offocial club that unites all of us and helps us arrage formal meetings and what not...it has a lotta potential. Hope to hear back. If you want to talk about it, my AIM SN is IForgotA. Thanks for reading the long message.

yea, their just isnt much in the md/pa/de/dc area...is 4B their? sorry i havent responded much, ive been swamped with exams this week. im done after 3 today and ill get on and tell you what the people ive talked to have said. we are debating a name and after the name, a website would follow. i realize that not much could be done this year as it is getting cold and time is running out (and big meets take planning). a few guys are working on spot cards also. i just figurered that their are definately a lot of cool nissan owners in the area (i see them all the time and waves or a few kind words are always exchanged) so why not make something offocial? then bringing people together would be so much easier. ill be back after a sociology exam...wish me luck.

Their's a huge amount B13, 14 and 15 of SR20s and quite a few QR B15 guys too. A united show would have an awesome turn out and definately make a nice photo album.

I've been considering reviving Shift-DC, which would be a midatlantic Nissan club. Should I do it? I really think I should, but just have no web design experience for a site.

Yes you should. I really couldn't figure out why it was shut down from the beginning Anyway if you bring it back it should not be called Shift-DC. We need a name that connects us all in some sort of way. Something like Shift 495. Or maybe we should just start a thread and ask folk to give some ideas for a name

Shift-dc was shut down when blair joinned it with shift-va, It killed the whole idea behind shift-DC. Joel has a good idea with the shift-495 idea. It still use the current nissan AD and generalizes it to the DC metro area. The joining of shift-dc and shift-va pissed if off in ways casue i had over 400 sticker made for us and some hat which i still have if those people who ordered them still want them. i think what you guys should go is get a good foundation of cars involved and then build it up, have a webpage but not as big as shift-dc was casue there were to many topics like ,sentra, altima, z, ECT. If you do shift-495 start small with just a basic fourm with a main discussion and event stuff. The have a section with member rides with pics and mod list. thats just my input

What is the point of the club, to organize meets? I Don't see why a club is needed for that, unless its a huge meet, and we have SERCA for that. Not trying to discourage you or anything, I just don't see the benifit to it really.

The point of the club and website is to have a dedicated group with a dedicated site to talk to one another at/on. This will build communication between those who are primarly involved in setting up the meets as well as giving everyone else who may be interested a place to go and look to see the progress being made and give ideas to what to do. SERCA will work if everyone would buy into it. So far that's been difficult to get most of us to do. So what do yoall think???
