Indiana Geekout 2: ProjectSE-R's T25 turbo install- weekend of Jan 5th

John is coming back for more. Going to do his T25 turbo install in the dead of winter at my place in Kokomo, IN again. Come one, come all! eric96ser is already coming from Nashville to join in the fun. Who else? Wes? Greg? Steve? Ben?

I'm considering coming all the way from CT. I'd love to help out with a turbo install. It'd be nice meeting everyone I didn't meet at the convention as well. 12 hours in my car, what could be better.

I'm contemplating coming up, Ben. 5 hours in my Classic isn't the greatest proposition (it's stiff, has a roll cage, and the Corbeau seat isn't exactly made for long-distance hauls). Then again...I need my block drilled/tapped for the turbo drain, AND I've got to take out my nitrous setup/swap intake manifolds.

I'd have to be back home Sunday evening, so I can work (yes, Sunday is a work day in my little publishing world).

So....I don't know.

LOL I thought we'd merely be lolly-gagging along, leisurely installing John's turbo setup, but now we have another crazy weekend in the works within minutes of posting! LOL

Ah well, if work needs to be done, then it needs to be done. Turbo, S4s and cam gears, intake manifold swap, drill and tap ANOTHER car, bleed brakes... we'll get it all done. You will be boosting on the night of the 5th, John.

Still have the aerosol RTV at my place for the oil pans, Greg. You've GOT to see that stuff in action. It rocks

hey whats up,
I am thinking of coming out there to see this thing happen. I need my block drilled and tapped also. But if that doesnt happen, I would like to see this turbo go on John's car. Ryan and I are pretty serious about going out there to watch this happen. All the way from CT!!! 12 hours isnt to bad. But in a lowered Se-r it can be!!! Talk to you guys soon.

We could do two cars, but it would be advisible for both to be there BY early on Saturday. Late Friday would be better. Gotta get those pans off and leave time for the RTV to dry when they are done (overnight). We can do it though.

If anyone wants to do this ANY this this weekend instead, I am free from Friday night til late Tuesday. I have no plans as of right now for New Years.

Awww, Ben, you know you had fun last time with my transmission bouncing off your chest! I tell you what, if I am boosting by the 5th, that would rock! Of course, we got everything else done by Saturday night last time too!

Are we going to try the web cast thing again? I have wireless on my laptop, and know how to use it *wink wink* Ben. I might be able to round up a wireless router, or at least bring my video camera so we can get some decent video.

Along that same idea...

IF I make it up to Ben's (and it's looking better every minute), I, too, can bring digital video camera, and a firewire cable for hooking it up. My Powerbook isn't a FireWire model, so I'd need somebody else to provide the hookup.

I'll also need about 45 minutes web time, to work on our website (basketball game is going on, and I have to post a story/pics by remote).

Greg, I think BEn has you covered on the webtime! Just enough time for us rip out your radiator/fans and header secondary!!!!!

Webcam would be great this time around, especially with my turbo install for those who are going/want/thinking of doing it!

[sheepish voice on] anyone got a tranny they could ship me? [/sheepish voice off]

I will come if someone could send me a working tranny.... hehe.
Wouldn't mind doin another eight hour road trip for a turbo install but then again driving seriosly sucks when ya have to cruise in fourth gear. I'd have to make it ten hours......

Prolly not gonna show this time guys. Sorry.
Have fun though and be sure to post all the gorry details again.

Later
Rick
