Rittmeister (was Stine) from Cincy is coming to do AGXs and keithert is coming, albeit later in the evening, to get a general diagnosis on lack-of-takeoff power with his auto NX2000. This shouldn't be a big thing, but anyone else want to come? sakerocket1- want to bring your trannies up?
FYI the next weekend, weekend of the 23rd, there is a DET swap planned in blackb13s car at my place. Come one, come all.

I'll try I've got bushings to put in and I'm anxious to do so so that I dont end up with a third broken tranny

93 Nissan NX2000 14.027 @97.98 (N/A) I wish I had time and money again, this little car has sat for 2 years now. I do miss driving it bad. It will be back soon though faster than ever.
Rittmeister just PMed me and said his parts will not be in this weekend, so looks like no geekout this weekend. keithert can make it easier on the 30th which is when Rittmeister wants to do this next. So DET swap next weekend and mini-geekout the 30th.
I can probably make it up there on the 30th. My cold idle problem has returned and I have a strange clicking noise in the steering that I want to find.
Bad news guys; every time I talk to Isidro and Chris it gets later that they are expecting my parts (the strut mounts, they have the struts already) from KYB which means it's later that I'll get them. Things are really up in the air at the moment, and I will keep you all updated.
I'll try to make it. But I'll just be a spectator. I have a friend who has a maxima that wants to come as well. If time permits he would like to see if we can help him install his starter.
Racerlinn I think I've seen you autocross before. My friend who owns that Maxima has been autocrossing for nearly two years and I've gone to some of his events.
I also met this guy John with a red SE-R. His car is quick!
I just talked to the guys at High Performance Online and they said my parts are shipping today; I should have them Tuesday or Wednesday. As of this moment my participation in the 30th geekout is affirmative. If the worst happens I'll be back on here mad as heck.
Is this Saturday still cool with you Ben? After having my car dynoed and talking to people about it I think my car is just slow off the line because of the automatic. However I'm still open to other ideas so I am looking forward to getting together this weekend. Who all is planning on attending?
My space in Ben's garage is still reserved. I have had a lot of trouble getting the parts, and it's not all resolved, but I have confidence in Isidro! If I can't get everything here I'll just have to go off and pout.
The struts and boots are here. The only thing I'm waiting on is the upper strut mounts; Isidro's exact words were that he is "51% sure I'll have them by Friday, which is a lot better than 49%" Unfortunately this is a downgrade from his previous statement, but I'm remaining optimistic. More at 11.
So we got Rittmeiter, keithert, a couple other possibilities. Jason- I think we would start sometime in the late morning.
Here is another option for all you guys. My dad is coming over Friday morning and we are going to work on my two cranks that had spun rod bearings. We are going to smooth out the pins with emory cloth and mic them to check to see if we need to go with other than the original bearing size. My dad is an expert mic'er so anyone who shows up will get an expert lesson on using a micrometer and measuring for the proper size rod and main crank bearings. You could of course stay overnight for the events on Saturday as well. Who's in for Friday?
Just talked to Isidro. Basically, KYB is screwing with him, me, and anyone else who has ordered these strut mounts. He is putting a superemergencyrush on this thing and will call me tomorrow when he knows something. All of this is compounded by the fact that he and I are in Eastern Standard Time and KYB is in California; at 6:30 here, he says that his rep at KYB went home, where it's like 3:30 (?) in the afternoon!?! WTF!!! I'm getting impatient; I need these mounts to do the install, since I have one broken. Ben, I hate to say this, but we might have to postpone.
