I would definitely come up to help if I didn't have my hands full with my own project. My turbo project is nearing completion and I might start her up tomorrow. If things go well on my end and you still need a hand, I might be able to come up on a weekend.

Ameen, sorry I couldn't come out yesterday. Something came up (it always seems to) and I had fires to put out - work related, of course. Looks like you made good progress, I hope I'll get to see the car when it's done.

Don't apoligize!... it's all good, I didn't expect any help at all! Everyone is busy (including myself) and its understandable... lots of you guys have women and kids to hold down... Family, obligation, and generally just your lives are important!!! I'm just lucky you guys actually want to help! So don't feel bad... Jay went out of his way on Saturday... And Brian is helping me with pressing mounts. It's overwhelming.
I should be all good... Just need a little help when things get dangerous, like taking heavy motors out and the putting them back in part But, if I can't get help from anywhere I will manage
There's lots of time to get stuff done, and I don't go back to school until April... I'll have my cellphone Mandanga!
Peace,

Update: The following was Added along with scheduling changes
Parts List Nissan 98 200sx/Sentra 2.0L SR20DE
Had to change a few things since I couldn't do anything yesterday. I will start the day at 10am today and hopefully will be able to swap a few accesories, and get the tranny unbolted. I won't be able to go to the parts store until 6pm when my friends/girl return so lots of time to do extra stuff like paint, and clean up the bay a little bit. Here we go...
I hope this is somewhat insteresting to follow
EDIT:
HA HA HA HA... So the first day of Spring is today at like 1:20pm, but Cincinnati has a Winter Storm Warning tonight at 11pm through tomorrow.. Kind of Ironic ha ha ha... Wait... no wait... that's not funny, that sucks for me... Coooooooooold.

I'm going through the same exact thing...I bought another SE-R this week and I already have to replace the water pump, clutch/flywheel, axles and tremendously dented oil pan...and we're supposed to get 3-5" of now tonight and tomorrow...great...

Man, I wish I could be there. JWT is taking there sweet time of 4+ weeks to get back with my ECU. I am still waiting with car down.. if it comes in this week, i'll swing by this coming weekend.
I got all the brackets on the front transferred, was about to put the alternator on, but the studs from the old engine are frozen to the bolt, so i incoherently took the whole thing out... I need two bolts for that and its done... Transferred the AC Bracket... I got the tranny-sexual off , clutch, and actually am in the process of getting the flywheel off... The clutch/pressure plate look to be in great condition... The starter looked alright but had some stuff chewed a bit on the gear... I just need another 12pt 14mm wrench for that flywheel.
I also finished painting my 98 VC graphite, as well as clearcoat enameling my already high temp blacked HS header... it was black now its shiny black... :druel: I'm moving along... now I'm studying both intake mani's and getting ready to get into swapping those.
I'm sorry for the humongous pictures... I had to upgrade my stupid photbucket account and I guess HUGE ass pictures is one of the perks... I used the smallest size on my camera, so I really don't understand
Here we go... got a few things done...
Got tired of technical crap... So Time for Ars & Crafts! Clearcoating the HS I ceramic painted!
Got some simple green and cleaned the inside and out of my 98 VC as good as I could
I'm sure my other VC is a little nicked up from the swap process... And Since I'm not going to be using the RR cover, I painted my extra one
Primered... Pics of finished products at the bottom
This is what I started out with today...
Took the starter out first, I have the Hitiachi one, it has "chatter"
There seems to be a little bit of wear on the teeth...
So which part do you take apart to stuff grease in??? I want this chatter gone
Didn't look that bad!!!! --> Correction... The Pressure plate doesn't look that bad, The clutch disc looks terrible....
Yeah, it was actually pretty bad after some inspection... discussion... The clutch disc is worn almost past the indicators... I don't see how I didn't notice this while driving... It must be because I've only owned the car since maybe 7-8 months before this... I never felt what a new clutch feels like on this car... If you need pictures of a new one to compare, please let me know
I got your impact gun right here!!! I started using my 12pt 14mm socket I had downstairs, but it wasnt working well... it actually was doing worse because my roomate had stripped it a little bit... So, I used the 12 pt wrenches I had and my rubber mallet... No stripping and it worked like a charm. I used this method for the JDM auto plate thing, and my USDM flywheel...
Lastly, time to clean up that nasty engine bay... actually it wasn't too bad
Finished Product!
Looks Good!
And of course had to add the cliche "I'm in the engine bay shots".. I tried to fight doing it but I couldn't help it... Sigh
There he is
For real now...

That clutch disc doesn't look to hot, looks as if the wear indicators are worn smooth. Use a chisel or flathead between two ring gear teeth and the block. I do it near the starter hole.
lookin good. you can clean my ser's engine bay when your all done
He he he...

Hmmm... insteresting. When I took it out I thought it looked good. I'm pretty clueless on transmission/clutch information. I was looking at it for a while. I'm clueless when it comes to clutches... Are the wear indicators the circles present on the face of the disk...
and what does the above process do? (the chisel or flathead)
EDIT: Okay, On the rear your saying the wear has almost worn to the indicators (indicators being the cut grooves in the disc. I see now... and your saying I should use a screwdriver when I'm putting the flywheel bolts back on so that the flywheel/disc doesn't spin? It was kind of vague?

Damn... I was in a hurry... I actually ordered a bunch of stuff from him today... SHOOT. I got my friend phil to get some stuff for me at a discount from the zone. money was kind of tight... If he hasnt ordered it yet I will call Greg back up....
Thanks Brian.
PS. how are those motor mounts coming? he he... I'm waiting on parts from Mossy so if they aren't ready by this weekend, don't worry about it... its all good
