Hey! I'm a bit new here, I was trying to contact you eariler on aim, I guess I should have posted here first..
Lemmie know if you need any help, seeing as I might be in Ohio pretty soon to pick up MY project 200sx!
Cept it's 200 dollars and an 87 =p
I also had a question to ask you about something during that swap, drop me a message! I'm sure I could still help out some way..
I'm not a guru but I will do what I can to help you... there are a lot more knowledgeable people on this site than I my friend! If you get to Ohio let me know... I'm down!
BTW, I will be posting pics of my work today tomorrow. I couldn't post them because I had to waste my time today doing something else
What Was done today, the good
-Got my AC compressor, and my Steering Pump on
-Got both my belts put on and tightened (never done that before)
-Got all the main harness hooked up (still have "little harness" to do)
-Got that DAMN seized headlight bolt off
-Took my Bumper Cover off
-Took off my OEM exhaust header! YAAAA no broken bolts (Rusted to hell)... Whacked the S**t of it with a hammer and used a ton of PB blaster (recommended by SuperJay), sooo happy I didn't break anything!
-Put my new headlights on... sexay!
The bad
-Found out when I dropped my exhaust that my muffler detached from the b-pipe, maybe I can get it welded... I can't afford a new exhaust right now...
-Snapped the ground that went from the body to the cat, meh!
-Cannot for the life of me get the damned rear 02 out of the cat... Tried for at least half an hour...
-I didn't sell my tires today like I planned to and wasted about 2 hours
Day #-->I need to re-do the final parts of my schedule
So yeah, I was thinking and the last parts of my schedule ended on last sunday... hehe... so it needs updated. Its okay though because most of that stuff is just petty stuff... All the good and dirty stuff is all done whooooo hoooo
Today was one of the worst days of the swap... lots of bad discoveries, and the end of the day didn't go too well, but I'll keep that to myself
Anyway, here is my b-*** pose... I'm very proud of it...
Now here is how the car stood at the beginning of the day w/o my ugly black behind in the way...
First thing I really did was take the bumper cover off, it was bothering me...
Make sure you come to a complete stop and use hand signals if turn indicators are broken
Bumper Cover Off: Mine was a biatch because the bolts were rusted. Damn Ohio Cars
I tried to put on the axle dust shield on that I got from SuperJay, but unfortunately it didn't fit... Maybe its because of the non-LSD axles? I dont know... Damn again
I postponed it, but it had to be done... sigh, exhaust bolts
Alas... after about an hour, a ton of hammering, massive amounts of PB blaster, patience, and prayer... Bang Bang... its off... still waiting on the cat brackets though... at least I can put my HS downpipe on now!
Another Damn... I looked at my exhaust more in detail... seems as though my ish is rocked back there... no good... I hope this can be removed and welded back on...
I took some time and fixed that crankcase air tubey... I will be utilizing this
And finally I put my freekin belts on... I tried to match the old tightness by looking where the imprint marks were on the adjusting brackets for the alternator and the steering pump... gettting that steering pump to bolt up with the motor in was a Bizznitch... My God...
Yeah...
I need to get those small things out of the crank grooves... not sure how all that garbage got in there
Let's see... I got a lot done even though I only got to work for about 3 hours or so... All in all I don't have much more than liquids and connectin the last elec connectors.... I should be right on task for this weekend...
Anyone want to come to my "key turning" party?!?!
Peace, & thanks for staying tuned...
Ameen

next time if you cant get bolts out, it helps to heat them up. put a torch to the bolt, get it red hot and turn. that has saved me so much time and frustration by using this trick.
$20 and those exhaust pipes will be welded back together at you local muffler shop.
I wasn't supposed to work today, but I couldnt help it
I started today by working on the second batch of electrical connectors.
I also removed my rear v-bracket thingy. I know its there for support for the IM, but I rigged a support up at the top from the head to the intake mani. I don't think there is one on the highports and I don't think it will affect my vehicle. Damn thing was like 8lbs or so... damn.
It was honestly just in the way of everything... the starter, wires, everything... I figure if I really need it I can put it back on.
I did have one problem though... the vacuum hoses on the rear of the engine that were in this bracket... for some reason I don't think I put them back on right... There are three connections I'm unsure about, where my thumb is, and where my pointer finger is... I hope I did it right...
Other than that, the engine is all hooked up! Ready to go!
I got a knock from the delivery man... and bam, next thing you know I have a muffler... its the one that I bought from Flounder. I dropped my OEM muffler for kicks today... It's going to be soooo loud when I try to start it w/o one of these on... lord!
I got a lot done today... even though I wasnt supposed to ... All i have to do is install the axles, put my downpipe on, and re-install the cross member... Put my intake on, install the battery, fill the fluids and its key turning time...

I tried to put on the axle dust shield on that I got from SuperJay, but unfortunately it didn't fit... Maybe its because of the non-LSD axles? I dont know... Damn again
mine was like that, just tap it in with a hammer lightly and it should fit.

I was ready to get to work, but its raining... I had to figure out what else to do with my time... I finished my schoolwork so I could do crap today.... sigh
I did up the header because I was bored... It had "*** pox", It will probably peel, but I don't care at this point, its under the car... I mainly did it to keep salt off the metal later down the line... Hopefully it works.
No matter what I do this thing will eventually rust... I live in Ohio , but no clearcoat this time... The clearcoat on the header will get 'F'ed though...
Yep... There ya go

I was ready to go and then all of a sudden it started pouring... it said it was supposed to be low of 54, and high of 64 today... BS, it didn't get about 45 degrees man... Now I'm all wet and all I could do was get the passenger side axle in... RRRRRRRRRRRRRR
It stopped "showering" for a little bit so I stepped outside...
I at least got the passenger side in...
Well it started raining harder... and my whole getup is wet... including my socks, my hat, my dirty pants and my sweatshirt
This is the only plug I have left... I have NO clue where it goes... I've been trying to figure it out for 2 days...
Someone told me its for ABS? Hmmmmm, Why do I think that my tranny was replaced at one time... My clutch cable looks new as well... and my lever arm on the tranny has a bar code on it...
