May 19 Edgewater details

Here it is:

9:30 gates open
10:00 timed runs
2:00p eliminations begin, and go 'till there aren't any more cars.

Classes are:
Import 1 (7.5-13.99 sec)
Import 2 (14.00 and slower)
Sport Compact (four-cylinders that aren't imports )

$25 to enter Import 1
$15 to enter Import 2 and SC
$10 to watch

I propose that we meet at a park that is right near my house at about 8:45am or so. Edgewater is only about 20 minutes away and hopefully if we get there around when they open we can all park together.

Who's up? I can provide directions via PM or email. If anyone has a better suggestion about the time, lay it on me; I've never actually been there before and I'm only volunteering 'cause it's not far away. I want to run earlier to see what my car will do and to see if I can drive but I will need to leave by 1pm or so.

Post here if you want to attend, PM for directions to the park.

Directions to the Harvest Home Park:

From Northern KY, take 75 north and then 74 west. Get off at North Bend Road and turn left at the top of the ramp (back across the hwy). Follow North Bend for about a mile; the next big intersection is Westwood Northern Boulevard; go straight through this light. You will very shortly see a BP on the right, and the park is right there on your right. The entrance to the park is a little further on, about a block, just before St Ann Ave, which is literally right next to the entrance. If you hit the light at Woodbine you've gone too far.

From the east side, take Ronald Reagan west, get off at Colerain and turn left. Follow Colerain to North Bend and turn right (Thornton's Oil and Taco Bell here). North Bend will come to a T (Thriftway and Blockbuster on the left), go left, this is still North Bend Rd. You will shortly go over 74, and the rest of the directions are as above. OR you can take 71 south to 75 North to 74 West and then follow the above directions.

North, take 275 to Colerain and turn left, look for North Bend and turn right, then follow above directions.

Anybody else can PM me for more specific directions. If no one posts here I will assume no one is coming and will decide whether to go Sunday morning.

I should be there. Don't know if I'm going to race though. Depends on how I feel when I wake up.

I will race you. What color is your Eclipse? I'm sure there will be a few there.

Due to an enormous lack of interest (no offense to Tuned200 or Shpec-V) I am no longer planning to attend on Sunday. Have fun if you go, maybe we can set up another date this summer.

Kent--

There's no lack of interest on my part. Just too many racing things at one time are on the calendar. I apologize for this, but that's the way things came up.

My concern is, not having a trailer, blowing something up. I don't fear breaking at the track, as I'd have you guys to help out.

I fear breaking down/blowing up while returning home. Rural Kentucky is NO place to break down. There just isn't much between Grayson, KY and Cincy. I could disappear forever.

Once I acquire a trailer, then I'll be more apt to go race whereever, whenever I choose to do so. Remember....I have a high-mile turbo car.

It's no problem, Greg, I understand your dilemma, especially as it sounds as if you will be racing Saturday nearer to home. I was hoping for a little more interest however; at any rate, the future is wide open as they say and I'm sure a number of us from the area can make a day of it before long.
