Sam's got the racing bug...

You KNOW I'll be there, now that my car is running MUCH better than it was 2 weeks ago. Can't wait. We MUST get a solid group together for this on July 7. So, the early preparations begin.....NOW.

We *could* do something at the track that didn't involve a grill being brought out, though.

I have a 10'x10' EZ-Up tent that I can *barely* stuff in the SE-R. I'll gladly bring it, if you guys would like me to.

Here's an idea, we have lunch at the track under Gregs tent, then leave early enough to have a cookout at my house. I live about 8 minutes from I-75.
We can workout the details in the next month. If this is a good idea.

I'm not sure about the cost to race.

Greg, what did it cost you at the first Car Wars?

I believe it was $25-30 last month. Which is a typical price to run at a dragstrip nowadays. The reason? It's a very expensive business, with monstrous insurance rates.

Plus...folks are running for money. So, some has to be put aside to pay the winners, runners-up, etc.

Trust me, Brian...it's worth every penny. Even if you only get 2 runs.

the reason i was saying something about the cost was it was 15 to run at edgewater14.00+ and like 20-25 for 13.99 and quicker. Brian

Good thinking! You never know what will break, or when. But it will be at the worst time possible.

Fastest SE-R In KY? Brian, don't forget about Project SE-R :-P
He goes through tranny's like I go through underwear... hehe

Seriously though, I'm in and so is the red NX that was there last time - Sam, wanna meet us at a lexington exit and then meet Greg off the clay city exit again?

Then maybe plan for whever we leave to head back to Sam's house for the BBQ/Grill out?

I'll volunteer to grill and give Sam $20 towards some meat (that sounds wierd).

Anyways just wanna see how the day goes and roll with the punches?

Mmmmkay, Brian. If I have slicks, your claim will be a very difficult one, my friend. :p

Of course, I live in WV, so the point is somewhat moot.

You, and you're little NX friend, too.

Ahhhhh, the brotherhood of the SE-R!!!

Matt has me beat with his 13.5 PSI pulls, so I think he is the fastest in KY right now. Unless Chris Storer has something up his sleeve!
