Geekout June 28th weekend

This geekout is to help forum member shumax to install a clutch and pour 94 shore urethane motor mounts (I will use the leftover urethane on my 92 ). Forum member Brock Stepan would also like help on a clutch job. He is welcome to come this weekend as well. Clutch jobs are very simple for me now.

Will this one be cancelled on the 27th because you found a NX that needs a home? Just kidding...

I will *tentatively* commit to coming up for this one, Ben. Tentative is the key word here. Let's see how things evolve over the next few weeks.

count me in for a meet...I might get off my ass and come...provided I don't got to work that weekend ! I might do a clutch on my Maxima that weekend...depends. Mofo aint holding 310WHP that much longer. Its not slipping just that it grabs too close to the top, and its not adjustable- its self adjusting hydraulic.

Hey Ben, Would it be possible to do a swap at your place? I spun a bearing, so I am looking for a 10-1 motor. I also need to put in my bushings. My nx has not run right for a while now and I miss it.

No problem. Let me know when you want to do it and I'll see what the closest free weekend I have is. If you don't have the motor yet, may just want to ship it to my place. And, of course, you can leave your old motor here

That would be very cool. I cant decide if I should get the bbDET or a jdm 10-1? what should I do? I could use a bb ecu and the top mount for a bit. what else would I need? Bearings I guess.

hey ben-
I'm pretty much a newbie to the SR20 world, but if I could join you guys this time, that would be great. I have springs and struts on the way, I just ordered them from Nopi yesterday, and I'm gonna need some help installing them. Could you give me a hand with that. How far south of the Michigan border do you live? I'm also hoping to have an intake by then also.

yes!

Cool---it's a done deal---a geekout! If anyone lives near Mansfield or Columbus Ohio, you can ride out with me if you would like. Depending on when Ben wants me there, I will leave no earlier than 2pm on that Friday. According to mapblast, that puts me in his town at 5:30 with the time change. He won't be home yet so I think that I will be leaving later on in the day----still working that out with him.

Thanks again for your help, Ben. First round of pizzas are on me
Beer too if we have any takers on that. I got dibs on the garage floor for a place to sleep

I plan on taking work off that weekend and getting down and dirty at Ben's! For sure I will have a clutch to be installed, and most likely a turbo kit pieced together. Count me in!

No beer at Ben's house. That's a house rule, but you are new so you weren't aware of it.

I should be able to make the long 45 minute drive up for Friday evening (no birthdays scheduled this time!).
Too bad you couldn't find an Aztec Red '92.
You know they are faster than those black one's....
