how is I-94 in S central /SW Michigan today (2/1)?

Well, I know there are a few of you over there and in Chicago, so it's worth asking.....

I had been planning to drive to Chicago (from Detroit) at lunchtime today but am waiting to see about the weather. Will be snowing all day here, probably finished snowing in Chicago by lunchtime, but I do noooot want to repeat what happened to my GF on Thursday, when she had to get off and spent the night because of snow and visibility. If it sucks too much today I'll leave early tomorrow instead.

Hopefully MDOT's site will tell me something.

It's really crappy in Joliet, IL. It's just about 30 minutes south of I-294. I heard on the radio that the roads are slow, obviously, because of the snow. It's drivable around here, but everyone drives slow so it slows you down alot.

Good luck
