Midwest meet at my place. Sept. 27th!!!!!!

I promised that I would plan a meet and I have most of the details ironed out so read below.

All are welcome (see stipulations below)
Date: September 27th 2008 (date is 100% set in stone).
Location: Wes' House in Salem WI 53168
Time: T.B.D.
RSVP: Must do this by 9-15
Directions: I will give you my address when you RSVP via e-mail or PM here on the forum.

Please read before RSVP! All are welcome but lets keep in mind that I am hosting this at my home in a residential area. As such when on my street I ask that everyone respect my neighbors and when at my home that you respect my family and property. I am a pretty relaxed guy but a few things that I have seen at previous local meets will not fly here. Revving of motors, burnouts, loud systems, etc.... is not welcome while on my street. I live in the middle of nowhere so I will show you guys the back roads if you want to share rides, go fast, etc.... I just ask that everyone play it cool when arriving and leaving. Trust me the backroads are pretty kick ass around here so if you want to have a spirited drive you will have plenty of time! Lastly if anyone is acting like a choad, or not respecting what I have asked you will be asked to leave.

I will supply the grill, and meat. Once I have a count I will ask that people bring drinks, snacks, buns, etc.... When you RSVP I will likely assign something small to each person to split this up between us.

Depending on time great lakes dragaway is about 15 minutes from my place, as such they have fun racing from 3-11 pm on the 27th so perhaps some of us will cruise up there for some fun runs in the evening. If the weather co-operates I can accomodate plenty of people outside on the deck and in the yard! If the weather sucks I will empty the garage and we can grill/ hang out there. Plenty of parking, I can fit roughly 8-10 cars in my driveway properly parked and there is a boatload of street parking as well. I will probably limit this to 30-40 people so please RSVP ASAP!

If you can make it send me a PM with your RSVP and the # of people and cars you have coming with you.

I look forward to seeing a bunch of car peeps!

Wes, how far are you from Woodfield area ? You say kick azz roads eh ? That gots my interest like a mofo ! I would like to come out there on my Honda and scrape my knee up on some corners !!!

I tried to get some kinda Nissan meet going here in Chicago, but it seems there is lack of interest from the whole Chicagoland Nissan community. Z guys do their own thing and don't associate themselves with the "lower lineup".

If the weather is iffy.... I could bring out my VW, I will park far far away so I don't disturb the Nissan family :P

EDIT- I noticed its only like 45 miles from my house, deff try to be on my bike. I don't drink so I should be cool

dude.. if you have energy or desire after this big shindig up in cheeseland, there is a meet here in Chicagoland in Romeoville, IL on Oct 11th (see post by Dragoneye..) ..btw: Steve (dragoneye, is a huge VW fan too and owns a Jetta 1.8t right now and I have an R32 as well as Nissan products )

We are in Mt. Prospect and it takes us an hour to get to Steve's in Romeoville (40 minutes in traffic from woodfield because we take I355 to South Joliet Road exit)

It will take you about an hour or so to get to my place, maybe an hour and 15-20 minutes tops.

Not to get off topic, I will try to swing by but I have to play it by ear. Next week I'm out in Mickey land in FL....

I would be up for any kinda meet, as all the Maxima guys stopped doing meets now too. I dunno WTF happened to people, 4-5 years ago meets where kinda big !

How bad is the drive from Madison? I think I could crash at a buddy's place there for a couple nights and be the long distance drive guy. Plus pick up a few guys there that I'm sure would be down for a meet.

Which meet are you talking about? Mine or the Chicago meet mentioned?

I am about an hour and a half from Madison.

I am also going to ask that other meet discussion be taken to the appropriate thread.

From the west side of Madison to Wes' house, 1hr45min via Janesville, driving conservatively. It's probably slower going that way, but I like the roads & scenery going that route vs. 94 to Milw then heading south.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it on 9/27.
Hopefully next time...
