there will be a group of peeps meeting at the McDonalds at Highway 94 and Midrivers mall drive out in St. Charles this Saturday (Nov. 17) at around 10:30 pm or so. Steve (Jokergrin), if your not up to anything, stop by. I can't promise anything about the caliber of cars (or owners at that) that'll be there, but it should be fun.

NXt: Moving to St Louis sounds good, spelling not so good. It's Lafayette; if you end up here you'll find a lot of old streets have difficult French names. Of course that does make it fun when there is a new traffic reporter in town and he tries to pronounce "Des Peres" road. Anyway, I'm looking for someone to autocross with; I have yet to see a SE-R show up at the local events. Let me know if you move here and are want to go kill some cones with me : )
Rocketman: Don't go through here anytime near rush hour on a Friday. And don't get off the highway in east St. Louis (remember that scene in National Lampoon's Vacation?). Enjoy your drive through, lots of people get gas in St. Louis. Now wait, that didn't sound right.....
Hey alright, another Se-R owner in the metro area. I reeeeeeealy want to try auto-x next year, but first I need to get some 15" wheels, and get rid of my crappy coilovers. The previous owner of my car sold the oem wheels, so Im stuck w/ 17x7.5 chrome wheels. To answer your question about the se-r's in STL, no. Steve ("Jokergrin" on this board) lives out in Manchester, he drives a red NX2000. He also has a friend (sorry, forgot his name) who drives a black NX2000. I've got pics of my car in my sig. Other than the three of us, I don't know of any other Se-R owners that are "auto enthusiasts". I've seen quite a few older women driving 200sx Se-R's, but thats it.
Nice car! Wow, you're playing in a whole different league than me. My poor old Sentra is fun, but not pleasant to look at. I like the wheels. I would love to be "stuck" with nice wheels. They may not be the best for racing but they look sharp.
You'll love autocross. Don't worry about the tires or wheels. I've run my Sentra 2 or 3 times now and it's completely stock with what I believe are the original springs and struts. To top that off it's got "Grand Spirit Aquaflow" tires. That being said I had a great time despite sliding all over the place. The first event this year is March 24 at Riverport. The first event at St. Charles Family arena is April 21. It's way too early to plan anything but keep those dates in mind if you wanna try it. Do you think those two NX owners would be interested? If so let 'em know.
In your sig you have a pic of a 300ZX and a Pulsar. Do they belong to friends of yours? That Pulsar might be a lot of fun to autocross.
There's the opening Solo II autocross on March 24. I don't know what your schedule is, but the first event of the season may last all day, from 9 AM till 4 or 5 PM. At least that's how it went last year. I went to Gateway International's web site and they don't have their drag race schedule up yet, but they usually don't start test n tune nights until April.
The pulsar was my previous car, and the Z is my dad's. The Pulsar was a lot of fun, even though it was an automatic. I'd also be interested in going to the drag strip for the first time.
Oooo, sounds like a Nissan family to me! Does your dad know about the Gateway Z Club? He's got a real nice car, he 'ought to be in it. They meet in the Sunset Hills (quite a drive from St. Charles) but have events all over the area. Plus big discounts for members at a few local dealers. Let me know if he's interested. At the very least he should come down for the car show.
As for drag racing, keep an eye on Gateway's web site: www.gatewayraceway.com Once they get a schedule up (look under weekly racing) we can plan something. The Friday test-n-tune nights would probably be best, but I'm up for anytime.
