I was farely sure the VE maf would not work on b13 ecm but figured it might.
if i do one i think that jwt can give me a good program for the maf injector cc and compresion thn i geuss it is up to me to wire and triger solinoids at a desired rpm?

Rob, I'm REALLY glad you had the patience to document this. I was all taken up with going out in the cold on the carport over the winter to inch along a few hours a night once or twice a week, it was just less than fun sometimes.

For an alternative for the 8969 location, take a look where I put mine:
http://photo.angrylabs.com/main.php?g2_itemId=118
and if you want to see how I did some of the other stuff, back up into the website to look around, I've got several pics there. I REALLY recommend conduit for your new wiring, you'll see that EVERYTHING - even the throttle cable and the Apexi valve cable - are in it. Cheap for a 50' roll from NAPA, even if you don't do forty miles of wiring like I did (four gauges) it'll still be cheaper than buying those worthless 5' pieces at Advance or wherever. And if you don't add gauges you can give/sell half of it to the next guy who does this.
Taiden, you runnin' yet, bud?

New post to an old thread. Im not doing my VE swap into a b13 and snapped some pictures of some things necessary to the swap.

Temp sensor swap:

Distributor modification:

Ignitor Chip (or w/e it is called):

IACV/AACV (yet again or w/e its called):

VVL Solenoids (i think these are the correct wires to splice to the msd):

MSD8969:

DE SSAC exhaust mani on VE:

So far thats where im at with the swap over, hopefully some major progress tomorrow.

Thats because you swapped it into a b14, a b13 has an obd1 system and an older electrical system using an ignition coil seperate from the distributor also using an ignitor chip or w/e its called. For a ve into a b13 swap unless do a ton of electrical work, it is required.

The VE install is not that hard. Other than a few things, it's the same as putting a DE in.[/QUOTE]
