Beam bending is nothing new to this forum. But for those who don't know about it, please educate yourselves:

As this is an interest thread, it will be used to compile information. Participating forum members will be added to the list.
Based on the outcome of this thread, I plan to open the "Official Northeast Beam Bending Party" thread on December 17th 2007. The goal is to have the party be held in March/April. The sooner a plan is in motion, the sooner a successful party can be achieved.
The main reason Spring is ideal is that the weather would not be a negative factor. The winters in our area can be brutal, and unpredictable. The last thing we want is for this party to be canceled because of climate conditions, or flights being canceled.
The last two NE planned parties failed due to poor communication, and no solid plan. I will be safeguarding the event by requiring phone numbers of the six participants. This is in case a member's internet gets shut off, or if there is any other issue that would prevent payment or involvement.
Steve (98sr20ve) and an alignment shop in CA are the only options for a proper bent beam. Some may say "Hey, my buddy (or shop for that matter) can figure it out and do it!"; but soon after, that same fella is buying a rear beam because it was twisted or done wrong. Our rear beams can't be re-adjusted if damaged. You only get one shot at this, so why not make it right?
Steve is a suspension professional and has bent many beams; he is doing us a big favor by offering this service to us. So, I expect efficient assistance, and communication for all those willing to be involved. Communication is essential. I will not tolerate a member that does not notify me, or Steve regarding any changes; you must keep in contact when the Official thread is opened.
The initial requirement to participate is $135 per bendee. This does not include airfare, and/or hotel rate, which will be divided by bendee's. Six members are required to make this party happen. Pre-payment must be sent when the official thread is opened.
The party will be held at Jun's shop, located in Bay Shore, NY. Thanks Jun! Further details will follow.
