Hello,

We've got a few friends who have decided to join together and build a car for rallying, with simply goals of stock classes, and perhaps upgrades in the future. We have the space to create a track for ourselves in order to gain experience and also have some fun. At this point we're just researching cars which would be suitable to rally as well as cost effective. So far i've come to the conclusion a 1991-1995 nissan nx2000, 200sx se r, or sentra se r would be worthwhile and we're all definitely fans of the sr20 engines. What do you all think would be the best car for rally purposes? Considering the brakes and suspension, as well as weight and size proportions, and even price, i'm really leaning towards the nx2000, plus it looks pretty darn good with mud all over it.

So any advice and counsel you might have, or links to other threads would be awesome. Thanks

If you guyz are looking for a great project car, I've got a 1991 SER, 5 speed that would be terrific! I'm the original owner, all 312K miles. It blew the headgasket a few months back and has been just sitting since--but the month before that happened, it easily beat the pants off 2 new Mustangs. HA!
