sr20de primera dying

I have a nissan primera with an sr20de engine, when driving the engine will sometimes randomly cut out on me and other times it will loose all power to the engine only for a second or 2 then suddenly all kick back in. I have had a new distributor cap installed, new fuel filter, new spark plugs & leads, i have put a new MAF sensor on. It starts fast when cold but when warm or hot it will take ages to start. I have had it into a mechanic which the car co-incidentally ran fine when he checked it all over, he ran code test, nothing came up, checked everything and said the car was mechanically fine. It is still cutting out on me does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? maybe a faulty fuel pump?

when i bought my b13 se-r, it had a dead cyl, do to getting no fuel. We replaced the fuel injector but it never got power, me and a buddy came to the conclusion that the ecu had a bad fuel injector driver. Not sure if you are having the same issue though

B15 Sentra 1.8Ls have an issue with some type of check valve in the regulator assembly. I replaced it on my g/f's 2005 a few weeks ago.

That car has a returnless fuel system, so the "regulator" as Nissan called it was part of the basket assy. I would go with a new fuel pump and see if that solves your issues.

Sorry I can't be of better help, but I don't have very much SR20 experience yet.

how many miles are on it your rings may be shot but not causing problems untill the engine is warm, but this only explains the starting issue. are you burning any oil?

i also noticed in my g20 that if i took a left hand turn too hard and had low fuel that it would cut out for a second due to the gas being all on the right side of the tank
